    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize the diameter of an ultrasonic waves convergent apparatus by providing a horn having a parabolic curved surface to converge ultrasonic waves on a focus. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave emitted from an element 18 for emitting and receiving ultrasonic waves fixed to a holder 19 reaches a corn 21 having a vertical angle of an acute angle fitted to the front face of the element 18 and after changing the direction it arrives at a horn 22. The inner peripheral curved face of the horn 22 forms a parabolic curved face and is made to converge the reflected ultrasonic waves at a focus O. By applying the above constitution the miniaturization of the diameter of ultrasonic waves convergent instrument and the reduction of offset on applying to a screw fastening robot can be realized.

    • PURPOSE:To attain to detect the position of a small diameter hole at a high speed, by collating reflected signals obtained when the relative positional relation of an object to be measured, in which the detection of a center position in one axis direction is stored, and an ultrasonic wave transmitting and receiving element is changed to detect an imaginary center position in the other axis direction. CONSTITUTION:In a first process, the intensities of the reflected signals including the intensity of the reflected signal from the center position of objective matter 54, when the relative positional relation of an ultrasonic wave transmitting receiving element 53 and the matter 54 is changed, are preliminarily stored. In a second process, the relative positional relation of the element 53 and the matter 54 is changed and the min. value of the reflected signal intensity from the matter 54 obtained by transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave by the element 53 is detected to detect the center position of the matter 54 in one axis direction. Further, in a third process, the min. values of the reflected signal intensities of the first process and that of the second process and collated to detect the imaginary center position of the matter 54 in the other aixs direction and, in a fourth process, the second and third processes are performed at least two or more times and a position, where the obtained imaginary center position in the other axis direction is coincided, is detected to detect the center position of the matter 54.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent discharge between a recording electrode and a control electrode, improve a quality of a recorded image and facilitate to manufacture by a method wherein the control electrodes arranged between a recording surface and a row of the recording electrode are opposed to a row of the recording electrode with an intermidiary of an insulating electrode holding body. CONSTITUTION:Recording electrodes 18 are held by insulating holding plates 20, 20' so that end surfaces 21, 22' thereof are kept in a sampe plane with tips of the recording electrodes 18. The insulating electrode holding plate are arranged together with a plurality of control electrodes 23 of thin plate conductive material in a predetermined pitch with high accuracy, thereafter, are pinched and adhered. Slit- like long and slender gap 24 having the recording electrode 18 at the center thereof is provided at a symmetrical position between the electrode holding plates 22 and the control electrodes 23. A toner 25 of magnetic fluid body covers a whole surface of the recording electrodes 18 and the insulating electrode holding plates 22 are interposed between the control electrodes 23 and the recording electrodes 18, therefore, spark discharge between both of the members will never be caused and damages thereby may be prevented, further, flying of the magnetic fluid body 25 may be stabilized.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a numerical control screw driving mchine to drive a screw into a screw hole precisely detected, on a work by providing the machine with a hole position detector for detecting a screw hole position by means of an ultrasonic transmitting/receiving element. CONSTITUTION:A head 20 is shifted under control of a numerical control device to position it outside of the peripheral area 65 of a hole 28 on a work 27. An ultrasonic beam transmitted and/or received by an ultrasonic transducer 53 has a center 62 which strikes against the work 27 at the intersecting point 66. The ultrasonic transducer 53 is instructed by a detection starting signal transmitted from a detection starting signal output unit to transmit an ultrasonic beam to and receive it from the work 27, for detecting the central position of the hole 28 in the direction of the axis X. The detected position is compared with the position of the X-Y table by means of a pre-stored program, so that any deviation is corrected. After a position in the direction of the axis Y is also corrected in the same manner, a screw is started to drive in the hole.
