    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for calculating the angular direction of a reflective echo signal to an irradiated ultrasonic beam in real time, so as to adjust the optimal ultrasonic beam to be irradiated according to the calculated result, and to provide its operating method.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: a probe which irradiates a subject with the ultrasonic beam, and receives the ultrasonic echo signal obtained through the reflection on the subject; a processor which measures a first reflective angle of the ultrasonic echo signal to the ultrasonic beam at a selected point inside the subject; a mapping table in which the point and the measured first reflective angle are corresponded with each other to be recorded; and a controller which determines the optimal irradiation angle to the surface of the probe of the ultrasonic beam to the point according to the first reflective angle recorded in the mapping table, and controls the probe so that the ultrasonic beam is irradiated at the determined irradiation angle.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic stress measurement method by which the residual stress of a measuring object is measured with a higher degree of accuracy.
      SOLUTION: The ultrasonic stress measurement method for measuring the residual stress of the measuring object having a layered structure using an ultrasonic wave includes: setting a plurality of vibration modes according to the number of degrees of freedom of a measuring target layer in the measuring object; performing, for each vibration mode, a measurement operation for emitting an ultrasonic wave corresponding to the set vibration mode to the measuring target layer, for receiving the ultrasonic wave reflected by the measuring target layer, and for measuring the eigenfrequency of the measuring target layer; and measuring the residual stress of the measuring target layer based on plural measurement data of the eigenfrequency with respect to each vibration mode obtained by the measurement operation.
