    • PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a significant accident by surely distinguish a root blow hole from a fatigue crack generated later. CONSTITUTION:To a partial weld penetration corner joint where a flange 11 and a web 12 are welded, a vertical probe 16 is provided on the web 12 side putting in between a contact medium 15, and a horizontal wave slanting angle sensors 17, 18 having a refraction angle of 45 degree are also provided, The vertical probe 16 is for measuring the weld penetration depth and the slanting angle sensors 17, 17 are for detecting a round fatigue crack 19 having generated from the root blow hole 14. The weld penetration front position of the joint is detected using the detection signal from the vertical probe 16 and simultaneously, a deeper position than the weld penetration front position is detected using the detection signal from the slanting angle sensors 17, 18. Thus by detecting the string corner reflection wave accompanying the penetration of the fatigue crack, the existence of fatigue crack generation is judged.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the scanning time, by setting two kinds of the scanning pitch widths for square scanning lines, i.e. broad and narrow, in advance, in performing the square scanning, performing the narrow scanning for the defect region of a body to be checked, and preforming the broad scanning in the non-defect region. CONSTITUTION:In a microcomputer 14 of an ultrasonic wave checking device, a square scanning line 17a having a broad scanning pitch width and a square scanning line 17b having a narrow scanning pitch width are stored. In this case, the conversion from the broad square scanning line 17a to the narrow square scanning line 17b is accomplished as follows: the defect of a body to be checked is detected by the reflected wave of a probe 1; the signal is outputted to the microcomputer 14 through a flaw detector 8; the signal is further outputted to an automatic scanning mechanism 9 from the microcomputer 14; and the control is performed. In this way, clear indication and acknowledgement of the position, shape, and contour of the defect can be performed, and the scanning time can be shortend extremely.

    • PURPOSE:To discriminate noise emission and real sound emission to enable accurate inspection, by reading a first and a second arrival sensor numbers and the rotary angle of an object to be welded when sound emission is detected by two or more of sensors. CONSTITUTION:Six sound emission sensors 10 are attached to the inner peripheral surface of an object 1 to be welded along a groove at almost equal intervals in the peripheral direction thereof and this inspection apparatus is equipped with a revolution-indicator 15 for detecting the rotary angle of the object 1 to be inspected as an electric amount and a data treatment apparatus 16 having functions for automatically removing welding noise by inputting a sound emission signal and a rotary angle signal and calculating the generation position of real sound emission. When sound emission is detected by two or more of sensors, a first and a second arrival sensor numbers and the rotary angle of the object to be inspected are read and noise emission and real sound emission are discriminated to enable accurate inspection.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the pressurizing cylinder for a high-pressure treating device which executes high-pressure sterilization, change of properties, change of flavor, etc., by subjecting materials to be treated, such as liquid or pasty food and medical goods, to a high-pressure treatment. CONSTITUTION:A free piston 25 is built in a converter 24 for the high-pressure treating device to respectively segment and form pressurizing chambers 26, 28. A pressure medium is supplied via a piping 30 into the pressurizing chamber 28. The free piston 25 is slid by this medium to force feed the materials to be treated toward the high-pressure vessel of the high-pressure treating device communicated with the pressurizing chamber 26 by which the materials are subjected to the high-pressure treatment. A slope 98 is provided on the outside wall of this converter 24 and an ultrasonic sensor 45 is mounted to this slope. A slope 99 is formed on the inside wall side of the converter 24 as well in the position corresponding thereto. The ultrasonic waves 101 from the ultrasonic sensor 45 progress in an arrow direction and fall onto the free piston 25. Only the reflected waves thereof can be detected by the sensor 45. The result of the detection is displayed on a processing screen. The exact position and speed of the free piston are thus detected.
