    • PURPOSE:To provide a traverse-turning type traveling continuous unloader with excellent economy allowing unloading work on one side and alongside-pier work or the like on the other side to be performed side by side on a pier where bulk carriers can be respectively brought along both sides of the pier. CONSTITUTION:A traveling continuous unloader installed on a pier 03 allowing bulk carriers 01, 02 to be respectively brought along both sides of the pier is provided with a turning A-frame 2 provided, in the traversable state through traverse drive mechanism, on a travel gantry 05 on which the unloader can travel along the pier; a rising/falling boom 4 driven in rising/falling motion with the center part thereof pivotally supported on the turning A-frame 2 while having a vertical unloading part and a balance weight 5 on both end sides; and a finned conveyor 6 provided on the rising/falling boom 4 in such a way as to be able to cope with the increase of a boom elevation angle. When the turning A-frame moves into a position close to either one of the side parts on the travel gantry 05, unloading on one side is performed, and at this time, the elevation boom 4 is put in action within a range of the side end part of the balance weight 5 of the boom 4 not going over the quaywall line on the opposite side.

    • PURPOSE:To carry out speedy operation as well as to reduce danger and difficulty in carrying a digging part of an unloader in and out of a hold. CONSTITUTION:On a continuous unloader constituted by supporting a hoisting boom by a revolving frame on a travel gantry and axially supporting a digging part on the head end of this hoisting boom, a travel device 12 of a travel gantry, a boom hoisting device 14, a boom revolving device 16, a digging part revolving device 18, a travel distance detector 13 to detect a travel distance of the travel gantry, a boom hoisting angle detector 15 and a boom revolving angle detector 17 are furnished. At the time of putting the digging part into and out of a hold, a control device 10 arithmetically processes it in accordance with detection signals from each of the detectors 13, 15, 17 and moves the digging part in the vertical direction by automatically controlling revolution by the boom revolving device 16 and travelling of the unloader by the travel device 12 interlocked with each other at the speed synchronized with horizontal movement of the digging part in the direction to offset the horizontal movement of the digging part caused by hoisting motion of the hoisting boom.
