摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate useless projection of sweeping material thus to maintain high sweeping efficiency by varying the projecting direction of sweeping material through plural projectors in correspondence with the size of work. CONSTITUTION:Sweeping material 18 fed through an opening 20 of distributor 14 into a control gauge 15 is fed out through a delivery port 19 to a projection disc 16 where it is accelerated centrifugally and projected to a strip board 11. In case of wide strip board 11, the position of the delivery port 19 is corrected such that the sweeping material 18 is projected downward and to set such that the overlapping area of plural projectors 12 is reduced thus to project the sweeping material 18 entirely over the strip board 11. While in case of narrow strip board 11, the projecting direction is inclined against the strip board 11 thus to increase the overlapping area of plural projectors 12.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent passing and dropping of grinding/sweeping material, scales and the like by providing a partition plate provided with a port for a band steel to pass through, between upper and lower grinding/sweeping chambers of a grinding/sweeping device for the band steel and blocking a gap between the band steel and the above- mentioned port mechanically, hydraulically and magnetically. CONSTITUTION:A cabinet 1 is partitioned into an upper grinding/sweeping chamber 3 and a lower similar chamber 4 by means of a partition plate 2, while ports 8, 9, 10 for a band steel 7 to pass through are provided in the bottom 5, the partition plate 2 and the ceiling plate 6 of the cabinet 1 respectively. Further, a cylindrical wire brush 17 is rotatably provided as a means to block a gap between the above- mentioned port 9 and the band steel 7. Thus, grinding/sweeping material, scales and the like produced in said upper chamber 3 do not drop into said lower chamber 4. As other measure to block the gap, a rubber plate 18 is provided on the partition plate 2, and an air injection nozzle 19 is fitted towards said port 9, or an electromagnet 20 is provided on the upper side of said port 9. Interference by grinding/sweeping material can be prevented by the measures mentioned above.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve substantially overall blow efficiency of abrasive material by blowing abrasive material against a moving steel sheet, with the blow slanted to form an acute angle against both the steel sheet movement direction and the steel sheet width direction, thereby reducing loss of energy due to collisions within the abrasive material. CONSTITUTION:From plural centrifugal blow devices 2 placed side by side under a steel sheet 1 moving in one direction, abrasive material 3 is blown against the steel sheet 1. In this case, the abrasive material 3 is blown with a slant to form an acute angle against both the direction of movement of the steel sheet 1 and the direction of the width of the steel sheet. Namely, the abrasive material 3 is blown in plural blow areas having small spread areas over the direction of sheet width (d) of the steel sheet 1 to combine plural blow areas in the sheet width direction to form a compound effective blow area. As a result, ineffective flow of the abrasive material 3 is lessened, loss of energy due to collision within the abrasive material is lessened, and blow efficiency of the abrasive material 3 is enhanced.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pellet charging device, with which the pellet to be treated can uniformly be supplied into a rotary hearth type reduction furnace without developing the breakage of the pellet. SOLUTION: A cone-trapezoidal rotary drum 21 is disposed at the upper part of the rotary hearth 12 in the reduction furnace and the pellet 11 of the material to be treated is supplied into the side surface 21c of the rotary drum through a hopper 22 from the upper part. The rotary drum is disposed by inclining the center axis so that the upper part of the this side surface 21c becomes the horizontal state and the inclination of the conical surface-like side surface 21c is set so that the circumferential speed in each point at the upper part of the side surface 21c equalizes to the shifting speed of the rotary hearth at just below wach point. In this way, when the pellet supplied onto the side surface of the rotary drum from the hopper is dropped onto the rotary hearth while sliding the side surface of the rotary drum, the pellet is uniformly piled on the rotary hearth.

The combustion gas supplied from this gas piping 20 is burnt at the tip part to generate flame and the slide gate for adjusting the flow rate at the lower part of the nozzle for pouring the molten steel can directly be preheated with this flame. By this method, it is prevented that the molten steel is solidified at the slide gate.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a cooling roll for continuous casting apparatus, in which stress loaded on an end part seal material of a cooling water passage arranged in a cylindrical cooling member is reduced. CONSTITUTION:The cooling roll is constituted with a cylindrical rigid member 13, cylindrical cooling member 11 and thermal resistant member 10, and the cooling member 11 has plural cooling water passages 20 bored so as to penetrate in the axial direction. The opening hole at the end part of the cooling water passage 20 is sealed by joining the end part seal material 21. The end surface at the outer peripheral side of the cylindrical rigid member 13 is projected from the end surface at the inner peripheral side and the thickness X at the end part is thinner than the thickness X' at the center part so as to be easily deformed. By this constitution, the load accompanied with the thermal deformation loaded on the end part seal material 21 is reduced. The end part seal material 21 is made to be easily deformed by forming to the wavy shape.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a continuous casting apparatus, in which the internal crack in a cast slab continuously cast is reduced and the product having good quality is obtd. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel (liquid phase) 8 is poured into a mold 2 from a nozzle 1 and continuously cast as the cast slab 7. The upper part of the cast slab 7 is supplied with foot rolls 3 and rolling reduction is executed to the lower part with the rolling reduction rolls 4 and the cast slab is carried. One pair of linear type electromagnets composed of six pieces of iron cores 5 and coils 6 are arranged between the foot rolls 3 and the rolling reduction rolls 4. Electricity is conducted in the coils 6, and by penetrating AC magnetic field into the inner part of the cast slab 7 from the tip parts of the iron cores 5, while fluid-stirring the liquid phase 8 near solid-liquid coexisting zone 10 in the cast slab 7, the casting is executed. In this result, the solid-liquid coexisting zone 10 is remelted at some speed or higher and the thickness in the solid-liquid coexisting zone is thinned and the internal crack can be restrained to be short.

While casting in the upper end part of the dummy sheet 7 by the molten metal reached to a molten metal pool part, the casting is started. By this method, as the cast thin sheet is combined with the dummy sheet 7, even if the width of the bottommost piece becomes unevenness, the cast thin sheet can smoothly be started and carried with the dummy sheet.
