As the system provided with the gas engine, a cogeneration system, a fuel supply system of a marine engine and an engine with a supercharger are used. Further, in order to utilize the cooling source brought to the laser ignition plug, a heat insulation layer can be provided on the laser ignition plug.

Simultaneously with the lift of the needle valve 6, a high pressure air reservoir part 6b is communicated with a high pressure air passage 6f passing the axis of the needle valve 6a so as to jet high pressure air toward the center of a conical protrusion 1b provided at the bottom face center part of a combustion chamber. Part of fuel spray 5 developed along the bottom face of the combustion chamber onto the center side of the combustion chamber, and air jet 7 colliding with the conical protrusion 1b provided at the bottom face center part of the combustion chamber collide head-on with each other to accelerate mixing of both.
