    • PURPOSE: To easily perform the installing work or inspecting work of an electronic equipment mounting device without deteriorating the resistance to rain of the device by providing an opening/closing means which supports the main body of the device in an openable/closable state between a mounting base and the main body. CONSTITUTION: After a mounting base 20 is installed on an outdoor wall surface, etc., wiring 22 from the outside is led to and connected to the wiring connecting section 21 of the base 20. The main body 10 of an electronic equipment mounting device is supported by the base 20 in an openable/closable state against the base 20 by inserting the front end sections of the pins of hinge parts 30a into the holes of hinge parts 30b. After the pins are inserted into the holes, a signal route to the outside is formed so that electronic equipment in the body 10 can be operated. When the rear surface of the body 10 is brought into contact with the base 20 in this way by closing the body 10, the front end section of a partition wall 23 is joined to a waterproof packing 11b and, at the same time, pressured by the elasticity of the packing 11b. As a result, the area of a first space 24, namely, the area from the equipment housed in the body 10 to the lead-in port of external wiring 22 including connecting leads 40 and a wiring connecting section 21 can be water-proofed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for selecting menu which can be easily used even for a person unskilled in OA equipment, can select the contents of a menu even without being skilled in the handling of a system and does not generate any mechanical contact between a human being and the system. SOLUTION: Concerning this menu selector for selecting a menu by showing the items of the menu described as character strings on a character plate from a user through any indicator, this device is provided with an image input means 1 for photographing the images of the character plate and the indicator through a camera, a position extracting means for extracting the contents of menu items written on the character plate in the format of character strings and the position information as images, an instructed point coordinate extracting means for extracting the identification of operation instructed by the indicator and the coordinate of an instructed point on the character plate, and a means for calculating an instructed item by collating that extracted coordinate with the record of the position information as the images of the respective menu items, and executing a function corresponding to that item.
