    • PURPOSE:To increase a purge quantity of vaporized fuel as much as possible within a range where an air-fuel ratio fluctuation can be restrained under feedback control by limiting a gradual increase in purge quantity when the purge quantity exceeds a predetermined upper limit. CONSTITUTION:A vaporized fuel treating equipment for an engine comprises a vaporized fuel adsorbing means for storing vaporized fuel by adsorption; a purge controller for controlling purge of the vaporized fuel stored by the adsorbing means to an intake system; a purge quantity gradually increasing means for gradually increasing a purge quantity of the vaporized fuel by the purge controller in a predetermined operating region of the engine until a feedback control quantity by an air-fuel ratio feedback control means reaches a negative set value while gradually increasing a purge quantity when the control quantity reaches the negative set value; and a gradual increase limiting means for limiting a gradual increase in purge quantity by the purge quantity gradually increasing means when the purge quantity exceeds a predetermined upper limit even if the feedback control quantity does not reach the set value. Consequently, a large quantity of purge can be realized.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation of an engine control quantity so as to eliminate torque shock by detecting viscosity of operation oil in a hydraulic operational mechanism in a valve timing variable means, so as to set a delay time according to the viscosity, and varying the control logic of an engine control means after the lapse of the delay time. CONSTITUTION:It is judged by an ECU 36 whether the present situation is under the transient condition of valve timing switching and when it is under the transient condition, control of an engine ignition timing and a fuel injection quantity in compliance with the viscosity of engine oil is performed in a device in which a valve timing variation mechanism 27 for changing the close timing of an intake valve 4 is set on a cam shaft 11 for the intake side in relation to an intake valve 4, and a valve open/close timing is changed by switching action from the oil pressure supply to the mechanism 27 to return release by an oil pressure control means 26. The oil pressure P and oil temperature Th of operation oil in a valve timing variation mechanism are respectively calculated, and the responsing times of a valve timing switching mechanism is response to the calculated values P, Th are calculated, and the optimum ignition timing and fuel injection quantity are finally calculated after the lapse of responsing time.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a car speed from its rapid increase while contriving the improvement of startability by providing an increase correction limiting means which limits an increase correction by an intake air amount increase correcting means when a connection condition detecting means detects an engine to be placed in a connected condition to a power transmission system. CONSTITUTION:In a condition that an engine E is not connected to a power transmission system, when an engine speed detecting means A detects an engine speed to be not more than a predetermined value, an intake air amount increase correcting means B is actuated increasing an intake air amount by a predetermined value, engine output and an engine speed. Accordingly, a predetermined speed is ensured of the engine, when it is started. While by a connection condition detecting means C, when the engine is detected to be placed in a connected condition to the power transmission system, an increase correcting means D is actuated limiting an increase correction by the intake air amount increase correcting means B. Accordingly, even when the engine speed decreases to the predetermined value or less by disturbance of step difference or the like, an increase of the engine output is suppressed, and an increase of a car speed due to a response delay is avoided.
