SOLUTION: This knee protection airbag device comprises an airbag 53 and a storing part 56. The airbag 53 causes inflation gas to be flowed into itself and is developed and inflated upwardly while being protruded toward a rear part of a vehicle in such a way that knees K of a passenger MP can be protected. The storing part 56 is arranged within a developed region of the airbag 53 and within an arrangement region of an interior installing material 14 and has its inside part of the compartment covered by a lid 57 that can be opened or closed. The storing part 56 is arranged in a developed region where the airbag 53 develops upwardly. The lid 57 is provided with a closing mechanism for biasing the lid 57 in a closing direction as a constitution in which a hinge part is arranged at its lower end to cause itself to be opened. In the inner tube 51, an inner diameter dimension of a discharge port cover part 52 for covering an outer peripheral side of a gas discharge port is set to be larger than that of a portion 54 on an opening side for inserting the inflator.
