    • PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency and to shorten a construction period to reduce a cost by manufacturing hollow elements having a shape of slitting a marine construction in the case of completion, boring pile guide holes in them and providing joint holes on both sides of each of them. CONSTITUTION:Hollow elements 2 with a floating body construction having a shape of splitting a marine construction in case of completion and having pile guide holes bored in them as well as forming joint holes 6 on both sides of each of them are manufactured, and they are towed to installation places to pour water into the hollows from a water supply hole 7 until they reach near to neutral buoyance, then they are temporarily landed on the sea-bottom. After that, the adjacent elements 2 are temporarily connected to each other with a joint member 5 lying across the joint holes 6, and bearing piles 15 are driven from the pile guide holes 4 to fix the elements 2. According to the necessity, water or filler is filled into the hollow and, at the same time, mortar 16 is filled into the joint holes 6 by means of a grouting and the like, and the whole is stabilized to complete the marine construction.

    • PURPOSE:To realize embody efficient propulsion of a water of flow by providing a water flow propulsion device within a duct for carrying a loading capsule by means of a flow of water, the propulsion device having a plurality of branch pipes each of which has both end portions leading to the duct, with electrodes and a superconducting coil disposed around each branch pipe. CONSTITUTION:In a cargo transport mechanism which carries a loading capsule 16 by means of a flow of water filling a duct while the flow of water is propelled by a fluid propulsion device 10 provided within the duct, the water flow propulsion device 10 comprises, e.g. four branch pipes 20 each of which has both end portions 20a, 20b leading to the duct, a pair of electrodes 22, 24 disposed around each branch pipe 20, and a casing 28 which surrounds a superconducting coil 26 and retains in its sealed space 27 a cooling medium, such as liquid helium, for cooling the superconducting coil 26. Axial thrust is applied to a fluid in the duct 14 by the interaction of an electric field and a magnetic field generated in two orthogonally intersecting directions.

    • PURPOSE:To be not influenced by the depth of water, to have a simple construction to make execution and repairement easy and to reduce a construction period by binding ends of a plurality of anchoring ropes respectively to fasten outstanding piles driven to the sea bottom and floating body on the surface of the water. CONSTITUTION:One ends of a plurality of anchoring ropes 23 of a material with high corrosion resistance are fixed to a floating body 20 provided in the vicinity of the surface of the water on which wave energy is focussed through fasteners 26. After that, the other ends of the anchoring ropes 23 are hung and installed in the vertical direction or downward on the slant to bind them to the upper ends 24a of a plurality of outstanding piles 24 driven to the sea- bottom 25 in advance through a separate fastening metal fittings respectively, and the floating body 20 and outstanding piles 24 are fastened to form a multi- pile type floating breakwater. The variation of the floating body 20 is constrained to absorb wave energy, and there is no fear of settlement, so that it is not influenced by the depth of water by changing the free lengths of the outstanding piles 24.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the quantity of deflection angle and the quantity of deviation of an excavator with respect to a tunnel by arranging the 1st and the 2nd ray generating means in the rear from the excavator in the tunnel and measuring the position of the excavator from output signals of the 1st and the 2nd television cameras. CONSTITUTION:At the time of excavating, a ray transmission part 16 of a position measuring instrument 10 points the 1st and the 2nd rays 36 and 42 in parallel with the axis of the tunnel 12 in the direction of the excavator 14 by the 1st and the 2nd ray generating means 26 and 28 and the distance between the ray transmission part 16 and a photodetection part 18 is measured by a range finder 30 and its measured value is supplied to a control part 20 via a relay part 22 as a distance signal. In this way, the 1st ray 36 is made incident on the 1st photodetector 58 and the 2nd ray 42 is irradiated on a screen of the 2nd photodetector 62. The photodetection part 18 picks up the 1st ray generating means 26 on image by the 1st television camera 72 and a clinometer 106 measures an angle of rotation of the excavator 14 and supplies a measured value to the control part 20 via the relay part 22. The control part 20 calculates the quantity of deviation and the quantity of deflection angle of the excavator 14 with respect to the tunnel 12.

    • PURPOSE:To enable laying of a duct on a simple foundation and reduce restrictions on the place of laying of the duct by conveying a loading capsule by means of a flow of water within the duct which comprises a hose made of waterproof canvas. CONSTITUTION:A cargo transport mechanism includes a duct 10 and a loading capsule 12 which is carried by a flow of water which fills the duct 10, and a cargo of the capsule 12 flowing through the duct 10 is loaded and unloaded at intermediate facilities 14 such as a water container provided within the duct 10. A water flow generator and a water flow accelerator 16 comprising a centrifugal pump used to compensate for the speed lowering of the flow of water are installed in the duct 10 at intervals in the direction of extension of the duct 10. The duct 10 is formed of foundation formed from tough, excellent abrasion resistant fiber such as nylon fiber and glass fiber, and a hose of waterproof canvas coated at both sides with vinyl chloride resin, Teflon resin or the like for providing impermeability.
