    • PURPOSE:To make the number of service pieces of rolling elements in each row be equal in case of a single row ball bearing as well as to secure such a constitution as capable of reducing the cost of manufacturing. CONSTITUTION:A double row ball bearing 1 is provided with two sets of inner and outer rings 2, 3 and 4, 5 to be installed adjacently in the axial direction, plural groups of rolling elements 6 to ne interposed between two sets of these inner and outer rings, and a single cage 7 holding these two-row groups of rolling elects 6 at the same time. In brief, these inner and outer rings usable in common with the single ball bearing are formed into two sets, whereby even if a cage for two rows is used, assemble in a state that the number of service pieces of rolling elements at each row is made to be equal to the single ball bearing is made achievable and, what is more, the whole body consisting of separate parts is formed inseparable.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a rated load and prolong a life without making a dimension of outer shape large in a self-aligning bearing in which one end of a rotation shaft thermally expanding/shrinking in an axial direction is positioned in the axial direction. SOLUTION: The self-aligning bearing 4 positions/supports one end of the rotation shaft in the axial direction and permits flexure of the rotation shaft. The self-aligning bearing 4 is made to a constitution of a double row cylindrical roller bearing with an aligning ring. A group of cylindrical roller 13 of the first row are clamped and positioned by a radially inward flange 15 provided on an axial midway of an outer ring 11 of which an outer peripheral surface is made to a spherical shape and a flange 16A provided on one outer end of two inner rings 12A, 12B in the axial direction. A group of cylindrical roller 13 of the second row are clamped and positioned by the flange 15 of the outer ring 11 and a flange 16B provided on the other outer end of the two inner rings 12A, 12B in the axial direction. Thereby, a total effective contact length of the double row cylindrical rollers 13 and an inner diameter dimension of the outer ring 11 can be made as large as possible without making a width dimension and an outer diameter dimension of the outer ring 11 in the axial direction large.     • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the durability caused by the initial lubrication disorder and improve the durability, by arranging a sealing device between both the orbital races, and attaching the low volatile lubricating oil for the initial lubrication at least on the surface of a ball, concerning the construction in which a sealing device is arranged between both the orbital surfaces, and grease is introduced from the pocket opening side of a crown-shaped retainer. CONSTITUTION:A spindle 1 which is constituted so that a bobbin for winding a yarn is installed in an integrally rotatable manner in the uppermost part is supported in free revolution by a ball bearing 5A (5B) in a supporting device for a covering twisted yarn spindle. The ball bearing 5A consists of the outer and inner races 51 and 52 having the respective orbital surfaces 511 and 521, a plurality of balls 53 held by a retainer 54 between both the orbital surfaces 511 and 521, and a pair of sealing members 55 for sealing the end parts between both the races 51 and 52, and constituted to a grease-sealed type in which grease is sealed inside. In this case, at least on the surface of the ball 53, the low volatile lube oil for the initial lubrication is attached, and the initial lubrication disorder is prevented, and the ball 53 is made of ceramics.

    • PURPOSE:To make the assembling of a ball bearing easy in a ball bearing whose ball is at least made of ceramics by insertedly providing a graphite spacer having dimensions larger than a clearance between the shoulders of both raceway surfaces of inner and outer rings between the balls, and forming one slit on the outer ring. CONSTITUTION:A dimension h1 between expanding parts 6 of a graphite spacer 4 is established to be slightly smaller than a dimension l1 of a clearance between raceway grooves 1a, 2a of inner and outer rings 1, 2 and larger than a dimensions l2 of a clearance between flat shoulders of raceway surfaces, and width on both sides of the expanding parts 6 is established to be slightly smaller than the dimensions l2. In addition to that, recesses 7 are partially formed into a spherical shape. In assembling a ball bearing, a slit 5 formed at one position of the outer ring 2 is widened, and after ceramic balls 3 and spacers 4 are alternately fitted into the widened slit 5, the slit 5 is narrowed to that both the ends of the outer ring 2 may be joined to return the ring 2 to the nearly round outer shape. Thus the spacer 4 does not crack in its assembling, and can be prevented from slipping out of the ball bearing after its assembling.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce roller inclination at the time of assembling into a bearing and reduce temperature rise at the time of operation by forming projections on an inner wall of a circular member in a pocket. SOLUTION: A projection 7 having specified thickness is formed on an inner wall 2a of a circular member 2 of a pocket 4 of a holder 1. The projection 7 may be preferably formed inside the pocket 4 by two across its center axis with equal spacings therefrom in view of stability of the cylindrical rollers. The projections 7 may be on both sides of the inner wall of the pocket 4. An end face of the cylindrical roller fitted into the pocket 4 is slightly inclined and abutted against the projections 7. The inclination of the roller itself is reduced. The roller is not in contact with the side surface of an inner ring, so that it is easily assembled. Lubricant is kept in a recession 6 between the projections 7, and a recession 8 around them. Lubrication shortage is not generated at the time of operation even when a gap between the projections 7 and the cylindrical roller end face is decreased. Temperature rise is suppressed at the time of operation, and performance is improved.
