摘要： PURPOSE:To effectively break the boundary layer of low content on the surface of the metallic ship by providing a gate close to the surface of the metallic strip so as to cross the metallic strip passing passage to block the acidic liquid accompanying with the metallic strip. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of gates 3, 4 which are arranged across a steel strip 1 from the face side and the rear side by keeping a space from the surface are provided in the plane orthogonal to a strip passing passage 2 of the steel strip 1 to be passed in the treatment liquid in a dipping tank under tension. The gates 3, 4 are of rectangular column shape having the width ranging over the whole width of the steel strip 1, and the the upper faces or bottom faces of the columns are formed by the curved surface of arc-shaped cross section at the side edge on the inlet side so that the passage between the gates 3, 4 may be converged toward the strip passing direction of the steel strip 1 at the passage 2 with thc changing inclination with the curvature, and the radius of curvature R1 is about 20-100mm, and R2 is >=about 500mm. This constitution keeps the concentration of the treatment liquid around the metallic strip 1 in the prescribed range, executing the efficient surface treatment.

CONSTITUTION:A powder whose surface is activated of a metal to be rolled is charged in rolling oil to be evaluated without coming into touch with the atmosphere to be uniformly dispersed therein. For example, in the case of iron, the particulate whose surface is activated of the metal to be rolled means one held to an activated state immediately generating combustion upon the contact with the atmosphere. Further, in order to accelerate the deterioration reaction of the rolling oil due to the metal powder, the surface of the metal powder is activated. The activated metal powder is charged in the rolling oil without being brought into contact with oxygen. Therefore, the activated metal powder is charged in the rolling oil in a non-oxidative atmosphere. The metal powder charged in the rolling oil is uniformly dispersed in the rolling oil or the rolling oil emulsion. By this operation, the entire surface of the metal powder can be brought into contact with the rolling oil.

An Mo ion implanting device 7 is disposed in the position in preferably the position extremely near the plating bath 4 surface in the snout 3 to implant and add the ions of Mo to the cleaned surface of the steel sheet 1. The Mo enriched layer of preferably about 0.1-1.0mum is formed on the steel sheet 1, by which the air wiping is efficiently executed while the formation of an Fe-Zn alloy layer is suppressed. When the interference rate between the plate control 22 and the tension control 24 can not be eliminated in this way, in reference to the interference rate, the distribution of the control output of the work rolls at the front step and the peripheral speed of the work roll at the front step is changed in such a direction that the interference rate is reduced. Consequently, the distribution of the optimum gain which can obtain the highest plate thickness accuracy for a plate control system and the optimum tension band width for the stable operation for a tension control system can be held.
