摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has excellent lubricating properties and little suffers staing due to annealing, by blending an amine salt of a fatty acid, an amine salt of ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid and a vinyl alkylate monomer in specified quantities with a base oil. CONSTITUTION:1-7wt% tert-12-18C alkylamine alkylamine salt of a 12-22C straight chain fatty acid (e.g. tributylamine salt of palmitic acid), 0.1-3wt% tert- 12-18C alkylamine salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (e.g. trihexylamine salt of EDTA) and 0.1-5wt% vinyl alkylate monomer (e.g. vinyl decanoate) are incorporated in a base oil (e.g. an oil mixture of refined mineral oil and butyl stearate). The resulting rolling mill oil compsn. is usually used as a 2-30wt% aq. dispersion and spray-oiled in cold rolling process of steel stock.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the title oil which has low viscosity and excellent lubricity, gives an excellent surface quality after rolling, and is useful for rolling low- carbon steel and a material difficult to roll by incorporating specified ingredients each in a specified amount into a base oil comprising a low-molecular-weight alcohol ester of a fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:A base oil comprising a low-molecular-weight alcohol ester of a fatty acid (e.g., methyl stearate) is mixed with 1-5wt.% high-molecular- weight alcohol ester of a fatty acid (A) (e.g., isoceryl behenate), 3-15wt.% polymeric fatty acid ester (B) (e.g., stearyl ester of 36C dimer acid), 1-8wt.% polymeric fatty acid (C) (e.g., 36C dimer acid), 1-15wt.% snccinic acid derivative (D) substituted by a 50C or higher hydrocarbon group (e.g., 58C polybutene succinate), and 0.1-1wt.% 16-26C 9-hydroxyphenylcarboxylic acid (E) (e.g., 9- hydroxyphenylstearic acid so that the weight ratios of A to B, C to D, and C to E are respectively 1:(1 to 6), 1:(1 to 3), and 10:(1 to 2) and the viscosity is 4-15cSt (50 deg.C).

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rolling mill lubricant composition which efficiently adheres to a roll or a material in rolling and is excellent in oil-water separation properties by compounding a base oil selected from among mineral oils, etc., with a cationic polymeric compound having a specified number average mol.wt. SOLUTION: The base oil comprises at least one substance selected from among mineral oils, natural oils or fats, synthetic esters and synthetic hydrocarbons. The cationic polymeric compound is a copolymer formed from (A) at least one compound represented by formula I or II and (B) at least one compound selected from among (meth)acrylic esters, vinyl alcohol derivatives, fumaric esters and maleic esters each having an alkyl or alkenyl group, preferably in a wt. ratio of A/B of (1/5)-(5/1), and has a number average mol.wt. of 3,000-1,000,000. Preferably, the polymeric compound is contained in a concentration of 10-5,000 ppm in the composition. In the formulas, R1 to R3 are each H or CH3; R4 and R5 are each 1-3C alkyl; and n is 3-5. The composition is used preferably in cold rolling or hot rolling.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compsn. which prevents esp. the oxidative degradation of a rolling mill lubricant used in cold rolling of a direct oil-feeding type by compounding a base oil contg. an oil or fat selected from among animal and vegetable oils and fats with a phenolic antioxidant and an aminic antioxidant. SOLUTION: For example, beef tallow and palm oil can be used as the animal or vegetable oil or fat. Such an oil or fat having been sujected to wintering and having a low m.p. can also be used. The content of an animal or vegetable oil in a base oil is pref. 50 wt.% or higher. The sum of contents of the phenolic and aminic antioxidants is pref. 0.1-5.0 wt.%, and the wt. ratio of the phenolic to the aminic antioxidant is pref. (1:5)-(10:1). Pref., a rust preventive comprising a fatty acid and a 4-18C alkylamine salt is compounded into the compsn. The total content of the phenolic antioxidant, the aminic antioxidant, and the rust preventive is pref. 0.1-10 wt.% of the compsn., and their wt. ratio if pref. (1:5:1)-(10:1:10).

摘要： PURPOSE:To reproduce the state almost same as the use state of an actual machine in a laboratory within a short time by charging a powder whose surface is activated of a metal to be rolled in rolling oil to be evaluated without coming into touch with the atmosphere to uniformly disperse the same in said rolling oil. CONSTITUTION:A powder whose surface is activated of a metal to be rolled is charged in rolling oil to be evaluated without coming into touch with the atmosphere to be uniformly dispersed therein. For example, in the case of iron, the particulate whose surface is activated of the metal to be rolled means one held to an activated state immediately generating combustion upon the contact with the atmosphere. Further, in order to accelerate the deterioration reaction of the rolling oil due to the metal powder, the surface of the metal powder is activated. The activated metal powder is charged in the rolling oil without being brought into contact with oxygen. Therefore, the activated metal powder is charged in the rolling oil in a non-oxidative atmosphere. The metal powder charged in the rolling oil is uniformly dispersed in the rolling oil or the rolling oil emulsion. By this operation, the entire surface of the metal powder can be brought into contact with the rolling oil.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cleaning agent capable of cleaning a rolling mill in a high efficiency and giving little influence on the rolling oil by compounding a higher fatty acid and an aliphatic amine to a main component selected from a mineral oil and a synthetic oil having respectively specific viscosity and flash point. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) at least one kind of a mineral oil or synthetic oil having a viscosity of 2-15 mm /s at 40 deg.C and a flash point of >=70 deg.C as a main component, (B) a higher fatty acid and (C) an aliphatic amine. The synthetic oil of the component A is e.g. an alkylbenzene and the component B is e.g. lauric acid or palm oil fatty acid and preferably a 16-24C fatty acid. The component C is preferably a 6-36C t-alkylamine such as trihexylamine. The contents of the components B and C in the cleaning agent are preferably 0.5-10 wt.% and 0.05-3 wt.%, respectively, before dilution. The objective cleaning agent is preferably used by diluting with water to a concentration of 2-5 wt.%.
