SOLUTION: Sludge produced by the halogen method electrotinning is subjected to water leaching and solid-liq. separation, the reaction treatment by which the obtd. solid content is added with an aq. soln. of hydroxide and the reaction-separation treatment by which the solid-liq. separation is executed are executed preferably by plural stages, and the filtrate is separated to be recovered. The recovered filtrate is a passed into a cation adjusting means such as a cation exchange resin or the like to remove and adjust the cation, and it is reutilized as a plating soln. source. Moreover, the filtrate obtd. by executing the solid-liq. treatment after the water leaching treatment is subjected to pH regulation, and next, the filtrate obtd. by separating a tin-contg. solid content by the solid-liq. separation treatment is recovered. The recovered filtrate is passed into a cation adjusting means such as a cation exchange resin to remove and adjust the cation, ant it is utilized as a plating soln. source.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly guide edge chips up to an accumulating place by imparting a downward gradient not less than a specific angle to a horizontal line to an inclined passage part of a duct. SOLUTION: Edge chips T generated by trimming an end part of a steel strip by a side trimming device 1 are introduced to a horizontal edge chip accumulating part 4 by passing through a vertical part 2 of a duct and an inclined passage part 3 of the duct. In this case, a press type edge chip compressing equipment 5a is arranged under it by using a bottom plate 4a of the duct of the edge chip accumulating part 4 as an upper cover, and scrap processing is performed by compressing the edge chips dropped by opening the bottom plate 4a. An inclination of the inclined passage part 3 is set not less than 45 degrees to a horizontal line. In this way, when the inclination is large, since dropping force by dead weight is large, even if the vertical part 2 is not arranged particularly long, the edge chips do not stay in the inclined passages part 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying plate-like packaging member capable of drying the plate-like packaging member such as shock absorbing material within a short period of time, a method for packaging metallic material capable of completely solving a problem of rust generated at the metallic material by an efficient method, and a packaging facility for packaging metallic material used in the packaging method. SOLUTION: There are provided a method for packaging metallic material in which after a plate-like packaging member is held between a pair of heating discs and dried. The attained dried plate-like packaging member 17 is mounted on an upper surface of a metallic material 15 acting as a material to be packaged. After the packaging member 17 is packaged by an anti-rust paper 22, the packaged item is further packaged with a heat-shrinking film 25, and after this operation, the heat-shrinking film is processed with a heat shrinking process. A method is provided for packaging metallic material in which, after a plate-like packaging member is held between a pair of heating discs and dried, the attained dried plate-like packaging member 17 is mounted on an upper surface of the metallic material 15 packaged with the anti-rust paper. After the packaging member 17 is packaged by a heat-shrinking film 25, the heat-shrinking film is processed with a heat shrinking process. A facility is also provided for packaging the metallic material.
