    • PURPOSE:To enable diffusion joining even in super-heat-resistant alloys, by setting a pair of members to be joined butt to butt with a soft metal layer inserted in the middle, rotating one member with respect to the other member, and keeping the heated pressurized state for a specified period of time. CONSTITUTION:Soft metal layers 3, 3 of thin pieces of Ni, Cr or the like are formed on the surfaces of grooves 2, 2 of members 1, 1 to be joined (super-heat-resistant alloy). With one of the members 1, 1 secured, while rotating the other member at low speed so that the both joining surfaces on one side may be parallel, pressure is applied so that the soft metal layers 3, 3 may contact with each other, and at the same time the joining part is heated to high temperature by the rotary frictional heat. Thus, the members 1, 1 are joined together through the soft metal layer 3, then the rotation of the one member 1 is stopped. Next, under the specified joining temperature and pressure, the same state is maintained for 5 minutes to 14 hours to promote the diffusion between the soft metal layers and the members being joined, and a boundary layer 5 almost similar to the member being joined is formed in the joining part, and joining is completed.

    • PURPOSE: To control the copying of the groove on the rear side easily and adequately by providing a pair of interposing materials consisting of materials differing from base metals and of mutually different materials to the groove on the rear side of the base metals and detecting the intrinsic X-rays generating from the interposing materials.
      CONSTITUTION: A pair of interposing materials 5, 6 are set near the groove 2b on the rear side of the groove 2 of base metals 1, and respectively different materials are used for these three. An X-ray detector 7 is disposed on the rear side of the base metals 1, and is so set that the X-rays detected by a slit 8 are sligned in one direction and are conducted to a crystal 9, and that the X-rays genetrating from the material 5 enters a counter tube 10 and the X-rays from the material 6 enters a counter tube 11. When an electron beam A is irradiated from an electron gun 4, it is irradiated to either of the materials 5, 6 when it is not correctly irradiated to the groove 2a, then the X-rays intrinsic to the materials 5, 6 are genetrated and are detected by either of the tubes 10, 11. According to the deflection of the beam A, bases 3 are operated to move the base metals 1, whereby the copying control is accomplished.
