    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration restraining device capable of suppressing increase of vibration in a horizontal direction of a suspended object by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A suspension length of the suspended object 2 is changed by a winder 5, and a natural period of a vibration system 4 composed of a suspension material 3 and the suspended object 2 is changed. Accordingly, even if the natural period of the vibration system 4 exists in a natural period vicinity of a structure or the ground and there is a possibility of vibration increased by resonance, the resonance can be avoided just by changing the suspension length by the winder 5. By this, even without additionally providing a special vibration damping device, the increase of vibration in the horizontal direction of the suspended object is suppressed by a simple composition. Thereafter, a structure study.section computing part 47 executes section computation of only a member forming a reference and stores a result at the common data 53. The quantity computing part 49 computes a skeleton quantity based on data of only a reference member stored at the common data 53. The section computing part 47 effects section study of all members, and the quantity computing part 49 computes a total reset value of a skeleton quantity. Thus, structural calculation is practicable even by a person being not a skilled engineer.
