CONSTITUTION: A hanging tool apparatus is composed of a movable supporting point 1 to which an object matter M to be hung is attached and a guide rail 2 to guide and support the movable supporting point 1 in the way the movable supporting point 1 can move horizontally or the apparatus is composed of a movable guide member 11 to which an object matter M to be hung is attached and a fixed supporting point 12 to support the movable guide member 11 in the way the movable guide member 11 can move horizontally. In the case of a slight quake, the movable supporting point 1, etc., is kept at a constant position in the guide rail 2, etc., which moves together with a building and thus the object matter M to be hung does not move. In the case of a big quake, the movable supporting point 1, etc., moves due to horizontal force in the direction of the quake of a building and the vibration energy is lessened by the extent of the movement and the swinging of the object matter M to be hung is remarkably lessened.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to control buildings' complex vibration and to improve vibration control effect, by installing a plurality of active type vibration control devices which control weights, capable of making relative movement against the building in accordance with vibration of the building, and by realizing simultaneous control by a plurality of vibration control devices. CONSTITUTION:One of the methods proposed by this description is that a vibration control device AMD1 which controls vibrations in the X direction and vibration control device AMD2 which controls vibrations in the Y direction are arranged so that they are placed at right angles each other. Sensors S1-S4 made of accelerometers are arranged at weights 2 and a building body 1. Detected signals are transmitted to a control device, and levels of the signals at synthesization with amplified response signals of the weight 2 is controlled by an automatic gain control circuit. One of the methods to control vibration is that with reaction taken at the building 1, control force is applied to the building 1 through the weight 2 and, at the same time, simultaneous control by a plurality of vibration control devices is applied. By the above-mentioned methods, complex vibration of the building can be controlled and vibration control effect can be improved, too.

    • PURPOSE:To make adjustment of damping force possible, by installing a receiving seat and a pedestal, whose recessed parts face each other, to the upper foundation of a structure body proper and to the lower foundation supporting the upper foundation, and by connecting, in a way that is capable of oscillating, both recessed parts by a support with two spherical bodies at both ends. CONSTITUTION:A pedestal 1 is fixed to the lower foundation A and a receiving seat 2 is fixed to the upper foundation B. A cylindrical recessed part 7 is formed on the pedestal 1 and a plurality of clamping bolts 4 are screwed in through the side walls and friction members 5 are installed at the tips of the bolts. A downwardly opened recessed part 7 is formed in the receiving seat 2, and a spherical body 8 at the upper part of a support 3 is fitted therein. A spherical body 8 at the lower part of the support 3 is fitted into the inside of the friction members 5 that are placed in the recessed part 7 of the pedestal 1, and friction force of the friction members 5 is adjusted by the clamping bolts 4. When relative displacement occurs between the foundation A and the foundation B on an occasion of building vibration by earthquake, the support 3 oscillates, resulting in conversion of friction force to heat between the spherical body 8 and the friction members 5 and vibration of the building can be damped.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient ability to absorb energy by a simple construction by inserting a coil spring between an external - and an internal cylinder at a lower foundation so that both cylinders are capable of expanding and contracting in a vertical direction and inserting a friction member between the internal cylinder and a receiving seat of an upper foundation. CONSTITUTION:A friction damper is such that a coil spring 3 is inserted into an external cylinder 1 to engage an internal cylinder, pressing a rod 10 into the internal cylinder 2 from up to down, piercing the tip of the rod into a hole 7 from top through down to project it, and that a fixed nut 11 is screwed in to couple the external cylinder 1 with the internal cylinder 2. A receiving seat 6 is fastened to the lower surface of an upper foundation (B) by a bolt 8, forming a recessed section 9 on the upper end part of the internal cylinder 2 to place a ball seat 4. A friction member 5 is inserted between the ball seat and the receiving seat 6, loosing the fixed nut 11 to raise the internal cylinder 2, and a specific compressive force is introduced between the friction member 5 and the receiving seat 6. Accordingly, such friction damper that can be easily handle a and designed can be obtained.
