    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a sufficient resisting function against displacement shearing between new and old concretes without giving damage to the reinforcement of an existing RC member.SOLUTION: An aseismic reinforcement structure 1 for a reinforced concrete is constructed by lining an additional reinforced concrete 3 around a bridge pier 2 after previously forming recessed portions 11 in the abutting face of the bridge pier 2 on which the additional reinforced concrete 3 abuts and installing and forming the additional reinforced concrete 3 in such a state to provide protruded portions 12 to be fitted to the recessed portion on the additional reinforced concrete 3, and by lining a steel plate 4 around the additional reinforced concrete. When the bridge pier 2 and the additional reinforced concrete 3 tend to relative deformation in the direction along a boundary surface therebetween resulting from their bending deformation, the steel plate 4 functions as loading means for thrusting the additional reinforced concrete 3 toward the bridge pier 2 to guarantee a shear key function with the protruded portions 12 fitted into the recessed portions 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join an end of a steel brace to an RC member without fear about interference with a reinforcing bar embedded in the existing RC member.SOLUTION: In this structure 1 for joining the brace and the RC member, a first mounting plate 5 is disposed on one lateral surface so that an engaging protrusion 8 protrusively provided on a back surface thereof can be inserted into an engaging recess 9 formed on the one lateral surface 4a of an RC column 3; a second mounting plate 6 is disposed on the other lateral surface 4b; a total of four prestressing steel bars 7 disposed on the lateral side of the RC column 3 are inserted through an insertion hole 11 formed in the first mounting plate 5 and an insertion hole 12 formed in the second mounting plate 6, respectively; and subsequently, a nut 13 is tightened from above a bearing plate 14, so that the first and second mounting plates 5 and 6 can be drawn to each other.

The water cutoff structure is formed of: a water cutoff means 11 which is arranged on one wall surface 2a of the earth retaining wall 1, facing the main structure 35, for watertightly sealing an interval between the mutually adjacent cores 3 of the earth retaining wall 1; a coupling means 20 which watertightly couples the water cutoff means 11 with the core 3; and a water leading means 31 which is arranged in the water cutoff means 11, for collecting water acting on the earth retaining wall 1, and leading the water to a water storage section.
