    • PURPOSE:To cut both side faces of a steel strip stably, and make it possible to do the work without an air blow device, by setting a dust screen plate on the front of a cutting edge, as this screen plate contacts with the steel strip, and is rotatably attached to the cutting device for side faces of a steel strip. CONSTITUTION:A support roll 13 is rotatably attached at the lower part of a frame 3, and a screen plate 15 is rotatably attached to a pin 16, as the lower end of this screen plate 15 is on a level with the lower end of the support roll 13. While the rear end of a strip 1 is passing under the support roll 13, this strip 1 bends upwards with its own elasticity to hit the screen plate 15, but the screen plate 15 is brought back to where it was when the rear end of the strip 1 has passed under the support roll 13, by a guide of a guide pin 17, as this screen plate 15 is rotatably supported by the pin 16. Accordingly, it is not occurred that the screen plate 15 is deformed or broken by the shock made by the uncorrected rear end of the strip, and both side faces of the strip can be cut stably, because a flaw due to the pressure of the dust, is not made. Moreover, an air blow device is not necessary as the dust is scattered.
