摘要： PURPOSE:To enable measurement of a butt shape with high accuracy by photographing a seam converging part from the axial direction of a pipe by means of an optical lens system of or below a specified depth of focus, and performing image analysis of the image. CONSTITUTION:A photographing device 5, an optical lens system 7 with a depth of focus of 30mm or less, and a reflective mirror 8 are arranged so that photographing may be realized from the upstream side of a contact shoe 2 toward a welding point 3 in the axial direction of a pipe. A photographing arrangement is made so that the optical axis may approximately coincide with the center of a plate thickness. When focusing is made on a measuring point by means of the lens system, the sectional shape at the position is focused on a monitor 9 as two curves, allowing observation of the shape. A three dimensional observation of a seam converging part 3 can be realized by continuously changing the focal distance of the lens system 7. The photographed image is received by an image recording device 10 from a device 5, and is further received by an image signal processing device 11 as an image signal, and the butted angle of the converging part 3 and the edge corner position on the external and the inner surface sides of the pipe are detected. In addition, the differences between the detected values and the preestablished values are calculated, and a control signal to adjust the condition under molding roll pressure is output.

摘要： PURPOSE:To automatically measure the position of a welding point with high accuracy by photographing a still picture in the vicinity of the welding point by a camera set up above the welding point and carrying out picture processing to obtain the welding point position. CONSTITUTION:The still picture photographed by the camera set up above the welding point is fetched in an electronic computer system and subjected to digital picture processing to obtain the welding point position. As the picture processing method, the part darker than a specified density level is converted to eliminate noises of the picture, then, filtering processing is carried out to detect a horizontal line, gradation emphasis processing and binarization processing are carried out to obtain a binary picture and the welding point position is obtained. Consequently, the welding point position important in controlling a welding state of a resistance welded tube manufacturing line can be automatically measured with high accuracy.

摘要： PURPOSE:To continuously measure, calculate and control the squeeze quantity during welding by picture-processing an image of a seam convergence part photographed by an image pickup device, obtaining the distance from a V convergence point to the squeeze roll center and an apex angle and calculating the squeeze quantity. CONSTITUTION:In resistance welded tube manufacturing equipment, the seam convergence part 3 is photographed by the image pickup device 7 using an optical lens 6, etc., from above a seam weld zone. This image is inputted to an image analyzer 9 as an analog picture signal, picture processing is performed by utilizing the luminance difference of a picture and the distance L from the V convergence point to the squeeze roll center and the apex angle theta are calculated. The calculated result is inputted to a signal converter 15 having a comparator 14, compared with the preset squeeze quantity and calculated and converted into a control signal to control the squeeze quantity. This control signal is inputted to a squeeze quantity control system 17 to control the squeeze quantity. Accordingly, the squeeze quantity of the resistance welded tube can be measured, calculated and controlled with high accuracy and high efficiency.
