    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absolutely prevent the dispersion of powder held in a sealing vessel. SOLUTION: A vacuum sealed vessel 1 is a vacuum resistive air-tight structure vessel constituted of a transparent material so as to be observed from outside and powder of radioactive material with particle diameter below 10μm is contained inside. To treat this powder without dispersing, an exhaust port 2 is provided on the floor 1b and is connected with a vacuum device to exhaust the air inside the vacuum sealed vessel 1 to keep the inside at a constant vacuum below 10Torr. The vacuum device consists of absolute filter 4a, 4b connected in parallel with header 3 so that one of them are available for use, a vacuum chamber 5 and a vacuum pump 6. When the vacuum in the vacuum sealed vessel 1 which is measured with a vacuum meter 7a becomes a set value or more, an automatic valve 16 opens and the vacuum chamber 5 intakes the air. Also when the vacuum in the vacuum chamber 5 exceeds the set value of a vacuum meter 7b, a vacuum pump 6 is driven to lower the degree of vacuum in the vacuum chamber 5.

    • PURPOSE:To evaluate the sides and upper and lower surfaces of an object while preventing the lowering of the reliability by arranging a device for pressing a smear paper on the surface thereof to be made up of a 3-axis robot capable of spiraling, lifting and transversing. CONSTITUTION:First, a lift table 15 is positioned at an upper level to turn a drum can 1. A jig head 28 is advanced below the drum can 1 with a transversing device 29 and then displaced upward with a jig index device 31. The jig head 28 is moved at a proper speed to wipe the entire undersurface of the drum can 1 by a smearing paper 42 with a smear jig 40 pressing at the center thereof 1 with an appropriate pressure. Then, the lift table 15 is positioned at a lower level to rotate the drum can 1 and the transversing device 29 is positioned upward. The jig head 28 is arranged above the drum can 1 and displaced upward to wipe the entire top surface thereof with the smear jig pressed at the center thereof.

      CONSTITUTION: A bundled body of hollow yarn filter membrane is fixed to a protective outer cylinder 3 while one W several gas outlet orifices are provided to a position higher than the lowermost end 12 of a strip like material 13 wound around the bundled membrane. When a gas outlet orifice 10 is present at a position lower than the strip like material 13, such inconveniences are generated that a hollow yarn is accompanied by an exhaust gas jetting out of said orifice 10 or damaged during backwashing or the liquid level of a raw liquid part is made lower than the strip like body to interrupt the smooth backwashing of a part not immersed in a liquid.

CONSTITUTION:An apparatus for measuring an ultrasonic-wave propagating speed and computing compressive strength is provided with the following parts: a plurality of ultrasonic wave piezoelectric transducers which transmit or receive ultrasonic waves; a pushing means 4 for a transmitting/receiving unit which pushes the piezoelectric transducer 1 on the surface of a waste body 3; and a surrounding pushing member 5 which pushes the surface of the waste body 3 at the approximately continuous line or plane which surrounds the vicinity of each piezoelectric transducer 1. The means 4 has a piston/cylinder mechanism for pushing the piezoelectric transducer 1 to the waste body 3. The means 4 is fixed to a frame 8 as a unitary body together with the piezoelectric transducer 1. In this way, adhesion of the piezoelectric transducer 1 to the waste body 3 is enhanced with the means 4 and the member 5. Therefore the surface waves are extremely eliminated, and only the transmitting waves which reflect the compressive strength of the waste body 3 correctly are excellently trans ferred to to the waste body 3 and detected.

    • PURPOSE:To enable immediate handling of any leakage in a fluid container by arranging a through port slighly larger than the outer diameter of a piping to be arranged in a leakage detecting member on a disc and a groove thereoutside to be made to communicate with each other. CONSTITUTION:For example, when a piping 3 is installed on a metal wall 2 of a fluid container in a nuclear power equipment or the like through a leakage detecting member 1, a through port 11 slightly larger than the outer diameter of the piping 3 is provided in the leakage detecting member 1 and a projection 12 and grooves 14 and 15 on the circumference thereof. The grooves 14 and 15 are so constructed to communicate with each other through a path 16. When the piping 3 is fixed, a seal welding 8C is applied between the projection 12 of the leakage detecting member 1 and the piping 3 and seal welding 8A and 8B between the projection and the metal wall 2. Thus, a sufficient joining can be done. But in case of any leakage, a matter being leaked reaches the leakage detection means 7 from the groove 14 or from the groove 15 through the path 16 and thereby, the leakage can be handled immediately.
