    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical rotation measuring system capable of attaining both the acceleration of measurement and improvement in S/N ratio.
      SOLUTION: The optical rotation measuring method comprises, in an alternating temperature process to the specified temperature of a sample by a sample temperature control unit 16; an optical rotation data acquisition step (S10) that begins the optical rotation measurement of the sample by using an optical rotation measuring device 16 and acquires the temperature data and the optical rotation data of the sample in a step of the alternating temperature process, when the time for measurement has elapsed; and a data processing step (S12) that determines the linear relation between the temperature data and the optical rotation data of the sample that are obtained in the optical rotation data acquisition step (S10), by using the proportionality between the optical rotation and measured temperature of the sample, in which the optical rotation at the specified temperature of the sample or the temperature dependence of the sample are determined, based on the linear relation of the temperature data and the optical rotation data of the sample in alternating temperature process to the specified temperature.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a cell sorter wherein the timing (the delay time) required for electrifying a prescribed liquid drop can be found comparatively simply even during an actual measurement. CONSTITUTION:A video camera 30 is installed in such a way that the irradiation position of a laser beam 14 and the prescribed number of liquid drops 17 formed by changing a mixed liquid 9 into liquid drops can be image-sensed simultaneously, and image data which has been image-sensed is displayed on a video monitor 33 via a cursor-line generation device 32. In the cursor-line generation device, a cursor line L is fitted into, and composed with, the image-sensed image data, and the display position of the cursor line is set by an operator via an input device whose indication is omitted in the figure. Thereby, while the operator is viewing the monitor, he adjusts the position of the cursor line sequentially to the irradiation position of the laser beam, a liquid-drop generation point 9a and a prescribed liquid drop, he sends the existence position coordinates of the cursor line at this time to a delay-time composition and setting part 34 from the generation device, and he finds the delay time and sets the time on a delay timer 21.
