    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the mounting range of a grain carrier at the time of grain filling work by shifting the center in the back and forth direction of a hopper inward from that of a grain elevator on the outer face at the lower part thereof and separating one end part of time shoot outward by a specified distance from the elevator. SOLUTION: Grains harvested by combine, or the like, is transported by a truck and thrown into a hopper 31 mounted on the outer face at the lower part of the grain elevator 26 of a dryer with one end 32 thereof being spaced apart therefrom by a specified distance. The grains are elevated and carried into a grain storage room 7 by rotary driving a belt 28 with bucket conveyor 27 in the elevator 26. Since the center in the back and force direction of the hopper 31 is shifted inward from that of the elevator and one end 32 of the hopper 31 being spaced apart from the dryer be a specified distance, a grain carrier for throwing grains into the hopper 31 does not collide against the dryer thus enhancing the workability of grain filling work.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the installation adaptability of a dryer to a workshop by a method wherein the shape of the section of an exhaust duct fitted to the fore end part of a centrifugal fan is made square or rectangular from the base part to a discharge port in the fore end thereof. SOLUTION: The shape of the section of an exhaust duct 17 fitted to a centrifugal fan 16 is formed to be square or rectangular longitudinally from the base part 18a to the discharge port part 18 in the fore end thereof and the external shape is formed like a letter L in either case. Fitting is made by fitting the base part 18a in the fore end part 16b of a fan case of the centrifugal fan 16. Herein the cross-sectional area of the external shape of a plate of the fore end part of the fan case and those of the internal shapes of plates of the base part 18a and the discharge port part 18 of the exhaust duct 17 are made identical practically and exhaustion in upward, lateral and rearward directions is enabled by replacement of the exhaust duct 17. According to this constitution, it is possible to increase the freedom in the layout of installation and to improve installation adaptability on the occasion when a dryer is installed in a workshop.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compact the whole device of a grain dryer and constitute the grain dryer at low cost by driving a lift on one side in front of and behind the dryer and a lower part spiral in a grain collecting chamber with a single motor and interposing a power switch for turning an and off clutch mechanism to a transmission system which drives the lower part spiral. SOLUTION: An exhaust compartment is provided on both sides of a hot air compartment 6, thereby forming a drying compartment 4 between the hot air compartment 6 and the exhaust compartment 7 where the grains which flow down in the drying compartment 4 are exposed to hot air, thereby drying up the grains. A lift 15 laid out on one side in front of and behind a dryer and a lower spiral 14 set up in a grain collection chamber 13 are driven with a single motor 26 while a power switch on and out clutch mechanism 32 is interposed to a transmission system which drives the lower part spiral 14. This construction makes it possible to pour and circulate grains with a minimum number of motors without any troubles and eliminate the need for a feed valve and cut down the number of components and constitute a drying device at low cost.
