A narrow cereal stem-conveying path are extended from the upper rear of the left and right stem root conveyers 19, 19 toward in front of auxiliary left and right conveyer 20, 20 with the same width as that of the cereal stem-conveying path. As the cereal stems tending to stay on the front side of the central part are raked in from both left and right sides and conveyed on the rear side whereby the cut cereal stems can be smoothly conveyed.
