    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for harvesting beans, capable of harvesting the beans by pulling together with the roots without crushing the shells independently of the shells' attached positions. SOLUTION: The apparatus for harvesting beans has the following construction: A pair of left and right first endless belts(48 and 48) made of elastomer are set by wrapping on rotators(43, 44 and 45) in an inclined posture rearwardly upward, A pulling component(B) is constituted to nip and pull the attached part of the shells of beans planted in the farm by the first endless belts(48), a pair of left and right second endless belts(32) set in an inclined posture upwardly are wrapped on rotators(31a, 31b and 31c) behind the pulling component(B); thereafter, a nipping and conveying component(C) is constituted to nip and relay the roots of beans conveyed from the pulling component(B) and convey the roots rearward. In this apparatus, the first endless belts(48) are formed to be wider than the second endless belts(32) and the nipping force of the pulling component(B) is set weaker than that of the nipping and conveying component(C).
