    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocative motion driving device which can protect teeth of a gear thereof from being scratched, and achieves its downsizing. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the reciprocative motion driving device, a trunk lid is automatically driven for opening/closing operation by rocking motion of a sector gear 14 provided for an actuator 7, and full-closing and full-opening stoppers 16a, 16b which are projectively formed simultaneously with press working of casings 16, 17, are arranged on one of the casings 16, 17 storing the sector gear therein. Thus at the time of manual operation, edges of the sector gear, in a rocking direction, are collided against the stoppers, and therefore stopping limit locations at the time of the manual operation are determined. According to the structure, prevention of further rocking of the sector gear is not performed by colliding teeth of a gear of a driving shaft engageable with the sector gear, against a gear blank portion, and therefore a tooth plane of the gear of the driving shaft is not scratched, and therefore the gear of the driving shaft always engages with the sector gear in good conditions.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocative motion driving device which achieves downsizing and space saving thereof without carrying out complicated control. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the reciprocative motion driving device, in order to automatically open/close a trunk lid 1 by rocking motion of an output shaft 7a of an actuator 7, a first link 8 is fixed to the output shaft and a second link connected to the first link is connected to an arm 4b coupled to the trunk lid in one body. Then the first link is rocked on one side of the output shaft closer to the trunk lid. Thus a space for rocking of the first link need not be secured on one side of the actuator, opposed to the trunk lid, and therefore a luggage space in a trunk room is expandable, accordingly. Further the second link is displaced in a space between the output shaft and the trunk lid, but the second link is displaced in an almost parallel manner, and therefore a wide space need not be secured between the output shaft and the trunk lid, which enables arrangement of the actuator to a location as close to the trunk lid as possible.
