SOLUTION: The four-stroke cycle internal combustion engine equipped with a starter clutch is equipped with a fresh air lead-in passage 131 for leading in fresh air into a crankcase C, a blow-by gas returning passage 135 for returning the blow-by gas inside the crankcase C to a suction air system, a control valve 140 for opening/closing the passages and provided on at least one passage out of the new air induction passage 131 and the blow-by gas returning passage 135, and a control means 141 for performing opening/closing control of the control valve 140.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warmup promoting device having a simple pipe structure for heating an oil for lubrication when an internal combustion engine is started.
      SOLUTION: This warmup promoting device comprises an oil path for guiding the lubricating oil of the internal combustion engine to an exhaust pipe and returning it to the internal combustion engine via an oil heating part installed on the inner part or the outer periphery of the exhaust pipe and a control valve for opening and closing the oil path extending toward the oil heating part according to an oil temperature. An oil return path arranged continuously with the oil outlet of the oil heating part is so tilted as to be lowered from the end of the oil heating part toward the oil return side.

SOLUTION: In the mounting structure of the thermostat, a burying hole 25 is formed in a casing 20 in which a cooling liquid passage 26 is formed so as to cross the cooling liquid passage 26. A thermostat 50 in which an inlet opening 52 and an outlet opening 53 drilled in the peripheral wall of the cylindrical valve body 51 communicate with/shut off by moving a valve element forward or backward, is inserted into the burying hole 25 with the both openings 52, 53 opposed to the cooling liquid passage 26. While covering the burying hole 25 by interposing an annular rubber seal fitted to and supported by a groove, a cover member 30 fixes the thermostat 50.     • PURPOSE:To keep off any blow-by of an air-fuel mixture as well as to raise a flow velocity of the mixture and aim at improvement in output performance by installing an on-off valve, which is opened only at time of high speed drive of an engine, additionally in a scavenging port adjacent to an exhaust port among many scavenging ports. CONSTITUTION:A scavenging-cum-suction port 5 and an exhaust port 6 are formed each in a cylinder block 3 of an engine body 1, while a lot of scavenging ports 81-83, interconnecting a crankcase 2a to a cylinder port 3a, are formed between these ports 5 and 6. And, a partition wall 10 lying between the exhaust port 6 and the third scavenging port 83 being adjoined to each other is tilted so as to be approached to the central part of the exhaust port 6 toward the lower part. In this constitution, an on-off valve 12 is set up in the midway of the third scavenging port 83. This on-off valve 12 is connected to an actuator 13 so as to be opened only at high speed drive of the engine body 1.

And, plural scavenging ports 81 and 82, interconnecting the crankcase 2a to the cylinder port 3a, is formed at both side walls of the cylinder block 3 between these ports 5 and 6. In this constitution, a partition wall 10 between the exhaust port 6 and the second scavenging port 82 is set up in a tilt, and these ports 6 and 82 are overhung to the opposite side each other. An upper end of the partition wall 10 and an intermediate part at the lower edge of the second scavenging port 82 are connected by a connecting wall 11.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in the output of an engine under a simple structure through preventing an abnormal combustion by providing a notch on the intake port side or the exhaust port side of at least either one of the peripheral edge on the under surface of a cylinder head and the peripheral edge on the under surface of a piston. CONSTITUTION:A combustion chamber 8 is comprised of a central part 7a1, which is shaped in the dome-form and placed on the under surface of a cylinder head 7, and a peripheral part 7a2, which constitutes a very small clearance between the peripheral part 7a2 and the upper surface 5a of a piston 5 at the top dead point. In addition, on the exhaust port 3 side peripheral edge of the peripheral part 7a2 are provided a pair of notches 7a3, 7a3 along a semicircle. Thereby, when the piston 5 is placed at the top dead point, there are provided a dome-like dome area 8a in the central part, a gap-like squishy area 8b in the peripheral part and a pair of groove-like spaces 8c, 8c in the circumferential direction of the exhaust port 3 side of the peripheral edge of the squishy area 8b. When the piston 5 comes up, the fuel-air mixture in the squishy area is squeezed to flow in the dome area, and at the same time, a part of it also flows in the groove-like spaces 8c to generate a turbulent flow so that the mixing of fuel and air is performed sufficiently.
