      CONSTITUTION: The objective agent contains (A) a compound selected from (i) methyl 1-(n-butylcarbamoyl)-2-benzimidazolecarbamate (benomyl), (ii) methyl 2-benzimidazolecarbamate (MBC), (iii) 2-(4-thiazolyl)benzimidazole (TBZ) and (iv) 1,2-bis(3-methoxycarbonyl-2-thioureido)benzene (thiophanate methyl) and (B) 1-(β-allyloxy-2,4-dichlorophenetyl)imidazole as active components. The amount of the component B is preferably 0.2W1.5pts. per 1pt. of the component A. The sterilization of the seed is carried out preferably by immersing the seed in a solution prepared by diluting the agent with water.

      CONSTITUTION: An agricultural and gardening fungicide comprising kasugamycin or its salt (I) and 1,2,5,6,-tetrahydro-4H-pyrrolo-(3,2,1,-i,j)-quinoline-4-one (II) as active ingredients. The ingredient I has a specially curative effect on blast of rice plant, extremely low toxicity to men and beast and fishes and shellifishes, and low phytotoxicity to rice plant. The blend of the ingredient I and the ingredient II exhibits improved synergistic controlling effects and prolonged effects. Undoubtedly the fungicide has controlling effect by scattering, it also exhibits controlling effect sufficiently by application to a box for raising of seedling or application into water. The blending ratio of the ingredient I to II is preferably 1:1W50 by weight.
