The packing 12b is held between a protecting ring 11 to be mounted between the resin pipe 22 and the second pressing ring 6b and a retainer 13b. The retainer 13b abuts on a lock ring 15 to be bitten into the resin pipe 22 and on an adapter 17 for moving toward the packing 12b a lock ring 15 being pressed by the engagement with the second pressing ring 6b. At the end of the adapter 17, a water tight packing 10c is provided to be put in close contact with the resin pipe 22.
