    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchange joint for quickly joining an existing pipe such as a gas conduit to a renewal pipe formed of a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene and pulled therein.
      SOLUTION: The exchange joint 1 comprises a joint body 2 covered with a cover resin 3 and having a first socket 4a for receiving a steel pipe (the existing pipe 21) via a packing 12a and a second socket 4b for receiving the resin pipe 22 via a packing 12b, a first pressing ring 6a for compressing the packing 12a, and a second pressing ring for compressing the packing 12b. The packing 12b is held between a protecting ring 11 to be mounted between the resin pipe 22 and the second pressing ring 6b and a retainer 13b. The retainer 13b abuts on a lock ring 15 to be bitten into the resin pipe 22 and on an adapter 17 for moving toward the packing 12b a lock ring 15 being pressed by the engagement with the second pressing ring 6b. At the end of the adapter 17, a water tight packing 10c is provided to be put in close contact with the resin pipe 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact boring apparatus capable of making an airtightness test after boring, and a supply pipe installation method for laying a supply pipe in a prescribed position in a non-open-cutting and space-saving manner in a short construction period. SOLUTION: This boring apparatus has a cylindrical body 15 comprising a cutting edge part 15a with the tip formed in wedge shape, and a connection part 15b larger in diameter than the cutting edge part; a boring cutter 14 having an O-ring 16 held to the outer peripheral surface of the cutting edge part 15a; and a flexible rod member 17 connected to the rear part of the cutter 14. In the supply pipe installation method for burying the supply pipe 8 branched from a main support pipe 2 buried underground, to supply gas to consumers, without open-cutting, a vertical hole 3 is excavated from the ground surface toward the main support pipe 2, and a flexible shield tube 6 is allowed to reach the vertical hole from the consumer side. A joint 9 stuck to the tip of the supply pipe 8 gripped by a support member 5c is joined to the main support pipe 2, and the main support pipe 2 is bored by the boring apparatus 13 to communicate the main support pipe 2 with the supply pipe 8.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-open-cut construction method capable of laying feed pipes at a required position with space-saving and a short term construction. SOLUTION: In the non-open-cut construction method in which a feed pipe branched off from an underground main branch pipe to consumers is laid without open-cutting, a pit leading from the ground to the main branch pipe is dug and a detecting means detecting information about the position of the main branch pipe is placed in the pit. A propulsion means driving an excavation means which excavates a guide hole for insertion of the feed pipe is installed on the consumer side. The drive of the propulsion means is controlled based on the position information of the detecting means. The guide hole is formed by propelling the excavation means, and a flexible sleeve is moved to the pit while enlarging the diameter of the guide hole. After the excavation means is pulled out from the flexible sleeve, a resin feed pipe having a resin joint on the end is inserted into the flexible sleeve. The resin joint is connected to the main branch pipe and a piercing means is passed through the feed pipe to connect the main branch pipe and the feed pipe.     • PURPOSE:To carry out securely a count processing for every one by providing a groove-shaped feeder resiliently supporting and exciting a grooved lane for mounting and carrying a counting abject, and an inclined chute having a dropping gradient and counting the dropping object. CONSTITUTION:A counting object charged in a hopper 1 is supplied to a groove- shaped feeder 5 consisting of lanes 51-53 having V-shaped section provided with vibrators 54, 55 disposed at a lower section of the lane by way of a large volume feeding feeder 41, a large volume feeding and a fraction adjusting feeder 42 through a feeding feeder 2, a feeding conveyor 3. In the side sections of the respective lanes 51-53, suitable number of counting object arranging blocks 56 are-disposed and advancing counting objects are arranged in a row by a vibration of the lane. The counting object exceeding an end block 57 disposed at a final end moves to an inclined chute 6 and drops lanes 61-63 by a gravity. The speed at this time is substantially faster then that of a preceding stage so that the counting object is effectively separated and counted.
