An adder 9 adds the output of a pulse sensor 8 and the output of the priority circuit 14 and applies an output frequency command and a voltage command to a stationary converter 5. A converter voltage correcting circuit 18 outputs a signal for reducing the output voltage of a converter 2 in a range that inputs an inverter frequency and outputs a constant voltage and variable frequency. In this manner, a predetermined brake torque can be obtained at the regenerative brake time.

    • PURPOSE:To protect a DC runaway of an electric motor vehicle and to enable to manually or automatically reset protecting apparatus by providing a DC overcurrent relay which detects the overcurrent of a primary side circuit of a main transformer and various coils which opens the primary side circuit. CONSTITUTION:When an electric motor vehicle runs away by DC, a DC trolley line voltage is applied to the primary coil circuit of a main transformer 10, and an overcurrent flows. This overcurrent is detected by a DC overcurrent relay 30, its interlock contact operates, the operating coil of a DC breaker 31 is demagnetized, and a DC breaker 31 opens. As a result, the primary side of a main circuit is broken, thereby protecting a main circuit device such as the transformer 10. Then, the DC contact of an AC/DC converter 9 is added to the reset coil circuit of the relay 30 for the case that the vehicle again runs in the AC energizing zone after the vehicle runs in a DC energizing zone, thereby detecting the trolley line voltage and enabling to automatically reset it. The manual reset can be performed by adding a pushbutton.
