      SOLUTION: A route generation device includes: a group of routes including geometric data (registered to a placement database 102) of a connection target, a main route directly connecting the connection targets, and branching routes branched from the main route; a restriction area generation part 107 for storing data (registered to a connection relation database 103) representing a connection relation with the connection target and data (registered to a design restriction database 104) representing a restrictive condition for restricting a placement position of branch points of the main route and generating a restrictive area (registered to a restrictive area database 105) where the branch points are placeable according to a placement position of the connection target, the connection relation, and the restrictive condition; a route generation part 108 for generating a shortest main route passing all restriction areas and a shortest branching route branched from the main route; and a restriction area and route display part 109 for displaying geometric figures of the restriction area, the main route, and the branching route.
