    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for warming up of an image forming device and to prevent the deterioration of an image and troubles such as jam ming of transfer sheets from occurring by deciding the temperature of a fixing roller at the start time rotation of the fixing roller, according to temperature at the point of time, when heating the fixing roller is started. SOLUTION: When the power source of a printer is turned on or when an output signal is outputted to the image forming device such as printer, warming-up is started. The temperature of the surface of a fixing roller 18 at a time when the warming-up is started is measured. The temperature of the surface is sent to a controller 12, and roller rotation starting temperature is calculated and set by the controller 12. Thereafter, when the temperature of the surface of he roller 18 attains the roller rotation start temperature, the roller 18 is rotated. The rotation of the roller 18 is finished, if it is decided the temperature of the surface of the roller 18 attained the fixing temperature, or when the time taken until the temperature in the fixing device 8 no longer changes by the rotation of the roller 18 is elapsed.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent color image by preventing the image density from changing due to the change of the toner static charge quantity corresponding to the change of the ambient environmental condition, particularly the change of the humidity. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a CPU 1 by which the toner density control target value is corrected basing on the detection signal obtained from an environment detecting means 5 and the developer color information under development of the electrostatic latent image obtained basing on the information from a host 100, and the control property of the toner feeding means is corrected basing on the toner density detection signal obtained from the toner density detecting units 12c, 13c, 14c and 15c. Basing on the toner density control target value at a normal temp./a normal humidity as reference value, the toner density control target value is corrected so as to be lowered when the humidity is high and the toner density control target value is raised when the humidity is low, and moreover, these target value is respectively corrected by each color, thus the excellent color image can be obtained by preventing the image density from changing by correcting the change of the toner sticking quantity to the electrostatic latent image due to the change of the environment.
