    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high speed printing by reducing the development processing from a printing job to printer data with respect to an arbitrary number of copies or division pattern when performing a distributed printing with a plurality of printers corresponding to printer data in the same format by dividing the printing job. SOLUTION: The distributed printing management driver 8 of a PC 1 divides a printing job only for one set of copy by page units, and converts it into printer command data through a printer driver 13, and stores the printer command data in a storage device 14, and then reads and edits the printer command data of pages assigned to each printer, and prepares distributed jobs for every printer of printers 3A-3C, and transmits the distributed job to each printer so that the printing can be carried out. Thus, the printing job is converted in a batch before divided regardless of the arbitrary number of copies or division pattern so that high speed printing can be performed by reducing the data development processing compared with the conventional manner where the printing job is divided for every printer, and then data is converted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer in which print sheets printed by means of a plurality of printer engines are picked up in order and arranged while being sorted in the order of page without requiring additional sorting information disclosed in prior art. SOLUTION: A plurality of printer engines 100a, 100b and 100c are arranged along a collective carrying passage 110 and print sheets 1 printed by respective printer engines are sequentially taken into the collective carrying passage 110 and carried. Means 120 for sequentially stacking the print sheets 1 carried on the collective carrying passage 110 is disposed at the downstream end thereof and a controller 208 for controlling the printer engines and the collective carrying passage 110 designates the pages to be printed by each printer and the order thereof based on provided print information. Print sheets printed by respective printer engines are then sequentially taken into the collective carrying passage and stacked in the order of page by the stacking means.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a resolution without increasing a static latent image form time. SOLUTION: In the electrostatic recording apparatus, an ion inadiation control means 4 is set to one face of a substrate of an insulating material, a plurality of first electrodes 15 extend in a direction perpendicular to a relative movement direction 31 of a recording medium, a plurality of second electrodes 13 are disposed to the other face of the substrate in a direction intersecting the first electrodes 15, and a plurality of pass holes 17 for passing ions are formed to a position where the first electrodes 15 and second electrodes 13 intersect. In the apparatus, each of the second electrodes 13 is divided to four or more unit electrodes 13 in the relative movement direction of the recording medium. The plurality of first electrodes 15 corresponding to the unit electrodes 13 are separated to groups of the number of the pass holes 17 of each unit electrode 13. An impressed voltage of the first electrodes 15 is sequentially switched for each group to control the ion projection.
