    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to mount the titled filter unit to a position having a narrow space, by connecting a diffuser formed into such a shape that the cross-sectional area gradually increases toward the air sending direction of a sirocco fan and partitioning the fan and a filter with a partition plate. CONSTITUTION:A filter unit 10 is constituted of a sirocco fan 11, a diffuser 13 connected to an air sending port 12b and internally divided by a partition plate 14 having an opening part 15 in the single side thereof and a filter 17. The take-in part 18 of the diffuser 13 is formed into such a shape that the cross-sectional area thereof gradually increases toward the air sending direction of the fan 11 and the opening part 15 of the partition plate 14 is provided in the side opposite to the mount position of the sirocco fan 11. Therefore, the miniaturization of the unit is achieved as a whole and the atmospheric pressure in the pressure part 16 of the diffuser 13 is made well-balanced and air can be uniformly sent to a clean room.

CONSTITUTION:A check valve 11 is made up of laminated-plate-type valve elements, in which the inner layer of plate-type valve element 12, the intermediate layer of plate-type valve element 13 and the outer layer of plate-type valve element 14 are laminated in the direction of discharge so that they correspond to the rows of discharge opening 10. Each of these valve elements 12, 13, 14 is made of an elastic material, and formed into a fork-like shape, in which four pieces of flap, consisting of a supporting part 16 and a sealing part 17, are extended from its broad bottom part 15. In addition, the sealing part 17 of each of these valve elements 12, 13, 14 is formed into the stream-line shape. And further, each valve element is attached in such a manner as to open and close independently, and accordingly, it is possible for one valve element to open upto a preset opening certainly without being interfered with any other valve elements.

    • PURPOSE:To generate a water hammer in a piping to vibrate the place where water is leaked, and to distinguish the water leakage to detect said leakage by supplying water to the piping at a fixed flow velocity by a water supplying pump, etc. and closing rapidly a valve capable of rapid closing operation. CONSTITUTION:At first, a solenoid valve 3 is kept open, and a check valve 7 as well as valves 5a-5d, 8 are kept open, and a pump 4 is operated. When a prescribed water pressure is attained while viewing said pressure by a pressure gauge 9, the valve 3 is closed quickly by the switch operation of a controlling circuit not shown in the figures, and the pump 4 is stopped a little later than that time. At this time, the water hammer occurs at pipings 1, 2a-2c, and the piping vibrates. By this vibration, a nail 13 pierced into the piping 2a is shaken, the nail's hole becomes larger and the water leakage therefrom becomes violent. If the opening and closing operations of the valve 3 are repeated in several times, the water leakage of the piping system is almost proved by the indication of the pressure decrease using the gauge 9.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten a pump in the axial direction thereof, by causing high-pressure water from a passage communication one of grooves formed in a sleeve and a pump chamber to support a rotary shaft, while lubricating with water the sleeve and a rotating portion at their boundaries and also by diposing the sleeve near an impeller. CONSTITUTION:A passage 14 is provided to communicate one of grooves 13 formed in the inner circumferential surface of a sleeve 9 with a highly-pressured part in a pump chamber 4. As the pressure near the entrance 14a of this passage 14 is high, a part of water penetrates into the groove 13 through the passage 14a. Since a boss 8 is rotating together with the rotary shaft 1, a lubricating-film is formed between said boss 8 and sleeve 9. That is to say, as the rotary shaft 1 is supported while the water film is lubricating the sleeve 9 and the rotating member, the sleeve may be disposed near the impeller 2. Because the sleeve 9 supports the rotary shaft 1 in a surface-to-surface relation, the sleeve 9 may be able to bear sufficiently the stress exerted by the impeller 2 even if it is not considerably long. Consequently, it may be shortened in the axial direction and the rotary shaft 1 may be made thinner in diameter.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent rust seizure simply and surely through the use of a sepa rate member made from an anti-rusting material by forming that portion of the internal surface of a casing, which mates with the peripheral part of an impeller with a micro-gap interposed, from a material different from the casing proper. CONSTITUTION:An impeller 1 with vanes aslant to the radial direction is borne eccentrically in a casing 2 in the form of short cylinder. A sealing liquid is put in this casing 2 and rotated so as to form a fluid ring W through utilization of the centrifugal force, and a capacity type pump is formed by the sealing action of this fluid ring W. In this arrangement, a separate member 10 from the casing proper 2 is provided in the micro-gap G between the peripheral part of the impeller 1 and the inner surface of the casing 2, wherein the separate member 10 is embedded in the casing so that part of the same is exposed to the inner surface of the casing 2. Thus fillets 2' are formed. Said separate member 10 is made from an anti-rusting and corrosion resistant material so as to prevent rust seizure.

The bearing cap 26 is extended downwards and the scattering water- preventing plat 28 facing the vent 19 is integrally provided by folding the lower end of the plate 28 toward the outside so as to form the water collecting portion 28'. And, the scupper 29 formed in the central part of the water collecting portion 28' is connected to the water exhaust port 30 provided in the outside frame 11a of the motor cover 11.
