    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve problems in a pattern inspecting device acquiring images by repeating stage scanning, determining a place with a different pattern as a defect candidate by comparing images of places with detection images stored in detected order and expected to have the same pattern, and determining a place determined as a defect candidate twice as a true defect where there are deterioration in various types of error defect detecting performance and un- inspectable areas respectively due to comparison of images acquired by different stage scanning and an occurrence of a place which can be inspected only once.
      SOLUTION: A defect detected in highly sensitive conditions is regarded as a defect candidate, and a critical threshold value (a value where it is determined that there is a defect when a threshold is not more than this value) of the defect candidate is acquired by an image circuit or processing an image of the defect candidate by software. A plurality of inspection results can be acquired from one inspection by comparing the acquired critical threshold value with a plurality of threshold values.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the circuit quantity of a strain gauge sensor data converter and to calibrate the sensitivity of a strain gauge automatically by controlling a variable gain amplifier circuit which is used in common to plural strain gauges on the basis of gain calibration data from nonvolatile memory. CONSTITUTION:When a calibration operation start signal is applied, a control operation circuit 9 selects plural strain gauges which are applied previously with standard strain successively and predetermined gain calibration data is supplied to the variable gain amplifier circuit 6. Then, a digital output passed through a sample holding circuit 7 and an A/D converting circuit 8 is compared with the standard value to determine gain calibration data on respective sensors 3 and 4, which are stored in the nonvolatile memory 10 to calibrate the sensitivity of the strain gauge sensors automatically. Then, normal data operation conversion is carried out through the variable gain amplifier circuit common to the strain gauge sensors to eliminate the need for an amplifier circuit for every strain gauge sensor, thereby reducing the circuit quantity of the strain gauge sensor data converter.

    • PURPOSE:To transmit a multichannel signal by a simple circuit, by applying a digital phase modulation to each digital signal so as to include clock information and obtaining a synchronizing signal at a fixed level and transmitting the signal by time-division and multiplexing to demodulate the signal. CONSTITUTION:The 1st channel digital signal (a) from an input terminal 6 is supplied to a multiplexer 7 and a polarity inverting circuit 9, and a signal (b) having the polarity inverted is supplied to a multiplexer 8. The 2nd, the 3rd- digital signals are supplied respectively to the multiplexers 7, 8, and clock signals phi1, phi1' and a switching signal (d) are supplied to the multiplexers 7, 8. The multiplexers 7, 8 sample a channel designated from the switching signal (d) by the signals phi1, phi1' to output the result. The digital signal of each channel is transmitted by time-division and multiplexing from a photoelectric converter 15 to transmit the signal, the signal is demodulated at a receiving side and a multichannel signal is transmitted by a simple circuit.
