    • PURPOSE:To obtain a clear two-color picture free of color mixing, by making the mass of the 1st toner less than that of the 2nd toner, and scattering the 1st toner mixed with the 2nd toner far away and separating it from the 2nd toner. CONSTITUTION:The 1st toner 5 is carried on the surface of a conveyance sleeve 11 together with the 2nd toner 8 and a developer 9 consisting of a carrier, scooped up to the surface of the sleeve 12, and carried. A small-diameter sleeve 15 rotates faster than the sleeve 12 in inverse proportion to the diameter ratio to the sleeve 12 in order to specify the carried amount of the developer 9, and the toner scatters from the developer 9 striking the sleeve 15. The toner 5 has the mass several times as small as that of the toner 8 and the toner 5 flies farther away from the sleeve 15 than the toner 8. Thus, the clear two-color picture free of color mixing is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To execute 2-color development exhibiting no color mixing, by changing an amt. of the first toner to be charged by mutual electrostatic action of the second toner attached to a carrier and the first toner mixed with this. CONSTITUTION:The first electrostatic latent image formed on a recording material 1 by exposure to rays 3 is reversely developed with the first toner 5 contained in a developing device 4. The second latent image formed with rays 6 is reversely developed with the second toner different in color contained in a developing device 7. Since the surface of the recording material 1 is rubbed with the magnetic brush of a 2-component type developer in developing the second image with the toner 8, the toner 5 is partially scraped off and mixed into the developer in the device 7. Charge of the toner 5 become about zero to a negative polarity by interaction of the toner 8, attracted with an opposite electrode charged positively or to recording paper and removed, and therefore, a sharp 2-color image having no color mixing is obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the transfer of toner stuck to a non-image part to an intermediate transfer body and to obtain high image quality by applying a opposite polarity of an electric charge to that of the toner to a toner image on an image carrier, before the toner stuck on the image carrier is transferred to the intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: A negative charge is uniformly applied to a photoreceptor 1 by a scorotron electrifier 2 connected to a negative voltage source. A developer is carried to the surface of the photoreceptor 1 by the rotation of the developing roll of a developing device. A negative developing bias voltage is applied to the developing roll and the toner is stuck to the surface of the photoreceptor 1, to make an electrostatic latent image visualizable. At this time, an electrifier 5 connected to a positive voltage source uniformly applies a positive charge, the opposite polarity to that of the toner, to all the toner. The value of the electrified quantity of the toner stuck to the non-image part is drastically changed when the charge is applied and the attracting force of the toner whose polarity is changed to the photoreceptor 1 becomes strong to prevent the transfer of the toner to an intermediate transfer drum 6.

    • PURPOSE:To sufficiently secure the stirring time of developer and to obtain a high-quality image even when a developing device is miniaturized by separately arranging the developing device and a toner replenishment means by using a toner carrying means and making the toner carrying means from a metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:The developer for developing an electrostatic latent image is housed in a developer container 1, uniformly carried inside the container by the rotation of a carrying screw 2 and supplied to a developing roll 3. When toner is consumed and the concentration thereof becomes thin, it is detected by a toner concentration detector 4 and transmitted to the toner cartridge driving means of a toner cartridge 5 as an electric signal. Then, a stirring blade 6 is actuated. By the rotation of the blade 6, the toner housed in the cartridge 5 is stirred and sent to a toner carrying pipe 7. Since the pipe 7 is a metallic pipe, the desired electrostatic charge quantity of the toner is obtained while the toner is carried toward the container 1 by the triboelectrification of the toner and the pipe 7.
