    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method inexpensively manufacturing a battery case in an industrially advantageous condition.
      SOLUTION: The battery case 100 is formed in such a way that: a die assembly 16 is formed by coaxially assembling a punching die 20, a drawing die 22, redrawing dies 24, 26, and an ironing die 28 in order of size of die holes 32-40 so as to make them immovable; a first, a second, a third punches 68, 70, 72 are arranged coaxially to the die assembly 16 so as to be insertable into the die holes 32-40 with a moving mechanism 74; blanking of a metal plate is performed with the first punch 68 and the punching die 20; drawing of the metal plate after blanking is performed with the second punch 70 and the drawing die 22; and then redrawing and the ironing are continuously performed to an intermediate work with the third punch 72 and the redrawing dies 24, 26.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack capable of realizing prevention of short circuit of a secondary battery caused by contact of leaked electrolytic solution with a coupling member or an end plate.
      SOLUTION: A plurality of secondary batteries 14 with a flat plate shape are arranged in lamination between opposed faces of a pair of end plates 16a, 16b, and at the same time, the pair of end plates 16a, 16b are coupled with each other by long coupling members 24, 26 with the surface coated with an insulation coating formed by powder painting and extended in an opposing direction of the pair of end plates 16a, 16b, whereby, the plurality of secondary batteries 14 are held by pressurization between the pair of end plates 16a, 16b to be integrated into a battery pack 10.
