    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake device which is capable of reducing the size, the weight and the cost of the entire device, and easily assembled. SOLUTION: A ratchet 51 is formed in an arc shape in which a center of turn of a drum part 31 is a center of curvature, provided with teeth continuously formed on the inner side of the arc shape, and arranged above a base member 20 at the position opposite to the extending direction of a fore end side of an operation lever 30 with the center of turn of the drum part 31 therebetween. A pole 52 is pivotably supported by the drum part 31 at the position between the inner side of the ratchet 51 and the center of turn of the drum part 31 while being engageable with the teeth on the inner side of the ratchet 51. The operation lever 30 is formed by integrally assembling a pair of formed articles formed by dividing its fore end side and the drum part 31 substantially into two to each other, and a handle part 35 is protruded on one of them. After built-in parts are assembled in each formed article, the handle part 35 is covered through injection molding of a resin material to integrally fix the formed articles to each other. SOLUTION: When the brake lever 30 is in an optional position at rotational operation from a release position to an actuation position, a second energizing member 66 separates from a ratchet pawl 52 and the ratchet pawl 52 does not receive energizing force of the second energizing member 66 to a second direction. A first energizing member 56 always energizes the ratchet pawl 52 to a first direction. Thus, restriction of the brake lever by fitting the ratchet pawl 52 to a ratchet gear 23 is ensured. At rotational operation for rotating the brake lever from the release position to the actuation position, the second energizing member separates from the ratchet pawl 52 and a release rod 61 does not interlock with the ratchet pawl 52. Therefore, an interference noise caused by the release rod 61 can be prevented.
