Since for generating sufficient negative pressure, since the necessity that the angle of the wall surface 3d' is made 10 deg. or above exists, the angle θ is processed so as to become within the range of 10 deg.-30 deg., or the wall surface constituted of plural surfaces so as to become a small cross angle in a part being in contact with the bottom surface 3c of the wall surface 3d', and become a large cross angle in the part being in contact with the positive pressure generation surface 3b is given.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the overwriting by laminating magnetic metallic films having different magnetic flux densities in two layers and specifying the saturation magnetic flux densities of the magnetic metallic films constituting the respective magnetic metallic film layers to have a suitable relation. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic head is constituted by laminating the magnetic metallic films having the different magnetic flux densities Bs in two layers. The saturation magnetic flux density Bs of the magnetic metallic films constituting the respective magnetic metallic film layers is lower in the magnetic metallic film 1b in contact with a magnetic gap than in the magnetic metallic film 1a in contact with the magnetic core on the leading side which is the progressing direction of the magnetic head. The Bs is lower in the magnetic metallic film 2a in contact with the magnetic core than in the magnetic metallic film 2b in contact with the magnetic gap on the trailing side existing in a position facing the leading side. Further, the Bs is higher in the magnetic film 2b in contact with the magnetic gap on the trailing side than in the magnetic film 1b in contact with the magnetic gap on the leading side.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a high magnetic permeability even if a film thickness is small by positioning the easy magnetization direction of a magnetic Fe-Al-Si film to the direction nearly perpendicular to the direction of a main magnetic path. CONSTITUTION:The easy magnetization direction of the magnetic Fe-Al-Si film of a magnetic head 1 having a magnetic core formed by vapor deposition of the magnetic Fe-Al-Si film on the surface of a substrate 10 is positioned at the direction nearly perpendicular to the direction of the main magnetic path. The magnetic Fe-Al-Si film is preferably composed, by weight %, of 2-10% Al, 3-16% Si, and the balance substantially Fe and is more preferably composed of 4-85% Al, 6-11% Si, and the balance substantially Fe. The magnetic Fe-Al-Si film is formed on the surface of the substrate 10 by a vapor deposition method such as sputtering in such a manner that uniaxial anisotropy is imparted thereto. The magnetic head having the thin Fe-Al-Si alloy film which possesses the high magnetic permeability even if the film thickness is small is thereby obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain bonding glass for a magnetic head which is capable of drastically raising water resistance and is used with a ferromagnetic amorphous metallic film by constituting it of composition incorporated with specified metallic oxide at a specified rate. CONSTITUTION:Bonding glass for a magnetic head which is used with a ferromagnetic amorphous metallic film is constituted of composition consisting of 72-81wt.% (hereafter %) PbO, 8-12% B2O3, 4-13% ZrO, 2.5-6% SiO2 and 0.2-2% CuO. In the case of using the ferromagnetic amorphous metallic film, in order to prevent magnetic characteristics from being deteriorated by crystallization of the film, it is necessary that the heat-treating process in production of the magnetic head is performed at the temp. lower than a conventional method. In a representative amorphous Co-Ni-Zr film, the upper-limit temp. of heat treatment is generally regulated to 460-500 deg.C. Softening point of bonding glass for the magnetic head used with such the amorphous film is necessarily regulated to the temp. lower then 400 deg.C. This glass incorporating CuO is raised in water resistance and also has low softening point and can be preferably used as bonding glass for the magnetic head used with the ferromagnetic amorphous metallic film.
