    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase transmitting receiving gain of an ultrasonic wave, and reduce capacity in a signal conductor inside of a needle by arranging a resonance coil between a transmitting receiving circuit and a converter in a needle- like ultrasonic probe to perform scanning by rotating and slidingly moving the converter. SOLUTION: In a needle-like ultrasonic probe, a partially hollow conductive internal needle 40 whose tip is composed of a paracentesis needle-like electric conductor is rotatably and slidably fitted in a hollow conductive external needle 35, and at least a single converter 10 is arranged on a side surface of its internal needle 40 through an insulator, and when an ultrasonic wave is transmitted and received, at least a part in which the converter 10 is arranged is exposed from the tip of the external needle 35, and is constituted so as to perform scanning by rotating and slidingly moving the converter 10 by a driving device. Electrodes 11 and 12 of the converter 10 are electrically connected by a signal conductor 50 to external electrodes 13 and 14 arranged so as to be insulated from the internal needle 40, and a resonance coil 80 is arranged between the external electrode 14 and a transmitting receiving circuit.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten measuring time, and improve diagnostic efficiency by arranging a slit-like opening part in the shaft direction or the vertical direction on an external needle, moving an internal needle to the external needle when an ultrasonic wave is transmitted and received, and scanning an ultrasonic covering means in the opening part lengthwise direction. SOLUTION: An opening part 25 is formed in the shaft direction on a side surface of an external needle 20, and an ultrasonic converter 30 is arranged on a side surface of an internal needle 10. Time internal needle 10 is held in the external needle 20 so as to be movable in the shaft direction in the external needle 20. A shape of a tip part of the external needle 20 is formed in a puncture needle shape easily thrust into a living body tissue similar to, for example, an injector or the like. The opening part 25 arranged in a side surface part is formed in a slit shape to transmit and receive an ultrasonic wave by the ultrasonic converter 30. A driving device 50 is arranged on the opposite side of a tip part of the external needle 20, and the internal needle 10 is moved in the shaft direction by controlling it by the control device 50, and the ultrasonic converter 30 is scanned. Therefore, measuring time can be shortened, and diagnostic efficiency can be improved.

    • PURPOSE: To improve signal strength by matching the position of a focus where ultrasonic waves transmitted and received from an ultrasonic converter are gathered inside an acoustic propagation medium by the action of an acoustic lens with the position of the boundary of a viable tissue and the acoustic propagation medium in the range of a focal depth. CONSTITUTION: The ultrasonic waves transmitted from the vibrator 4 of the ultrasonic converter are propagated inside a substrate 3, then converged by the acoustic lens 2 and made incident on the viable tissue 50 and the ultrasonic waves reflected from the viable tissue 50 are received by the vibrator 4. The ultrasonic converter is mounted to the internal needle 10 of this needle-like ultrasonic probe and the scanning of the ultrasonic converter to the surrounding viable tissues 50 is realized by operating the internal needle 10. The liquid acoustic propagation medium 40 supplied by an acoustic propagation medium inlet/outlet tube 30 is interposed between the acoustic lens 2 and the viable tissue 50, the inlet/outlet device of the acoustic propagation medium 40 is attached on the opposite end of the acoustic propagation medium inlet/outlet tube 30 and the position of the boundary of the viable tissue 50 and the liquid acoustic propagation medium 40 is finely adjusted and matched with the position of the focus of the acoustic lens 2 by changing a hydrostatic pressure.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a needle ultrasonic probe which is ideal for the diagnosis of the nature of a tissue and higher resolution photographing thereof at a deep part within a specimen by a method wherein a part having an ultrasonic converter of an inner needle is exposed from the tip of an outer needle during the transmitting or receiving of an ultrasonic wave and the inner needle is moved with respect to the outer needle to scan the ultrasonic converter. CONSTITUTION: An hollow intermediate cylinder 2 for holding is formed inside an hollow outer needle 1 with a puncture needle-shaped tip and moreover, an inner needle 3 carrying an ultrasonic converter 10 is fitted inside. The inner needle is pierced by a signal line 30 to transmit a signal transmitted or received by the ultrasonic converter and a tube 4 to supply or discharge an ultrasonic transmission medium. A driver 31 and a drive controller 32 are attached on an end part opposite to the sharp tip of the outer needle 1 and the inner needle 3 is turned and driven in translation. When the tip of a probe reaches an interest part in the puncturing of the probe into a human body, the outer needle 1 is pulled slightly so that a non-stretching film is broken to expose the intermediate cylinder 2 and the inner needle 3. Thus, the transmission medium is supplied into an organic tissue through a tube 4 in the inner needle to transmit or receive an ultrasonic wave driving the inner needle 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate alignment of the focal point of the acoustic lens of a needle-shaped ultrasonic probe and the surface of a living tissue by providing holding and transmitting means for holding the interval between the living tissue and the acoustic lens at a predetermined distance and for transmitting ultrasonic waves output from an ultrasonic transducer to the living tissue. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic transducer comprises a piezoelectric vibrator 1 and an acoustic lens material 2 in which an acoustic lens 3 is formed into a recessed groove shape, and a spacer 4 made of stainless with an opening of a trapezoidal cross section is provided in a position corresponding to the acoustic lens 3. The trapezoidal opening in the spacer 4 is filled with a physiological salt solution which serves as a sound propagating medium. The ultrasonic transducer is mounted on the end of an inner needle, and the inner needle 10 is held by an outer needle. The use of such a spacer 4 makes it possible to easily set, according to the height of the spacer 4, the position where ultrasonic waves are converged to a focal point within a living tissue 50, facilitating alignment of a needle-shaped ultrasonic probe.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic probe which can pierce while a position to be observed is searched and wherein a transmitted or a pseudo-transmitted ultrasonic wave can be easily measured by arranging a pair of an ultrasonic convertor and an ultrasonic reflecting material or a pair of the first and the second ultrasonic convertors so as to face them in the direction being perpendicular to the axis of a puncture needle. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of pairs of thin film ultrasonic convertors 2 and 2' facing each other so as to placing the central axis between them are provided on the wall face of a hollow outer needle 10 and a low frequency ultrasonic convertor 3 for searching is also provided on the face in the axial direction of the apex part of a filled inner needle 20. Under a condition where apex positions of the inner needle 20 and the outer needle 10 are joined, a needle-like ultrasonic probe is pierced into the object to be examined and when the apex of the inner needle 20 reaches a site to be observed, it is stopped. Thereafter, when the outer needle 10 is pierced furthermore to an inner position to be observed, the tissue of living body at the position to be observed is introduced into the hollow outer needle 10 to result in a condition where this is placed up and down between a plurality of the facing pairs of the ultrasonic convertors. Under this condition, sound characteristics of the tissue of the living body introduced into the outer needle 10 are measured.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by forming a concave part in a curved surface shape for forming a rotation object to an axis vertical to an extension direction and providing an ultrasonic wave conversion means along the concave part. SOLUTION: An acoustic lens for forming a concave surface is worked and formed on a base material 1, a lower electrode 3, a piezoelectric thin film 4, an upper electrode 5 and an insulation film 6 are formed along the concave surface of the acoustic lens and an ultrasonic wave converter is constituted. As the material of the base material 1, a metal or ceramics or the like with high corrosion resistance against a physiological salt solution is used. Gold is used for both of the upper and lower electrodes 3 and 5 and the polymer piezoelectric body film of the copolymer of a polyvinylidene fluoride and ethylene trifluoride or the like is used for the piezoelectric thin film 4. The concave surface is formed in a non-spherical shape rotation symmetric to an axis and ultrasonic waves generated at the piezoelectric thin film 4 are converged to a prescribed position. Thus, the influence of the internal reflection of the base material 1 is prevented without enlarging a diameter and the ultrasonic wave images of high image quality are obtained. Also, the safety is improved.
