    • PURPOSE: To increase an allowable quantity of refuse to be abandoned by volume reduction by compression by raising and lowering movable arms on which pressurizing plates are installed to press down the refuse by rotating them to a vertical condition from a horizontal condition. CONSTITUTION: A user pushes a refuse throwing-in cover 3, and throws in refuse. When ultrasonic sensors 12 and 22 detect that the refuse is collected by a prescribed quantity, a lock device is actuated, and checks opening of the throwing-in cover 3. In this condition, air is supplied to air bags 5, and a motive power transmitting plate 8 is pushed downward, and a movable arm rotating frame plate 9 is also pushed downward, and rotates spur gears 13. Since the spur gears 13 fix movable arms 7 through pins, the movable arms 7 respectively rotate, and project in a refuse box 2. Therefore, pressurizing plates 6 on the tip of the movable arms 7 also rotate, and move inside from outside of the refuse box 2. When the motive power transmitting plate 8 is further pushed downward, a movable arm holding plate 10 moves downward, and the movable arms 7 move downward, and the pressurizing plates 6 integrally formed with the movable arms 7 compress the refuse.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the control for the operation of a driving device and to surely fix an elevating table even in the case where the distance between fixed positions of a unidirectional moving member is very small. SOLUTION: This fixing device includes a first stopper 12a for fixing an elevating table 21 in a first stop position, a second stopper 12b for fixing the same in a second stop position, a first link 11 in which the first and second stoppers are rotatably and slidably connected coaxially to both ends thereof, a stopper support 13 for supporting the first and second stoppers and fixing the moving direction, and a driving device 10 for operating a first rod 10a rotatably connected at the central part of the first link to operate the first link, thereby projecting or storing the first or second stopper. The driving device is connected to the end of the first rod which is not connected to the first link. The elevating table includes a first stopper receiver 14a for receiving the first stopper in the first stop position and a second stopper receiver 14b for receiving the second stopper in a second stop position.
