    • PURPOSE:To prevent any flooding damage from occurring even in the case where a sudden large scale inflow into an underground tailrace from respective rivers and drainageways is predicted, by installing a movable inflow water rate control device in a conduit leading to a vertical shaft from the rivers and drainageways. CONSTITUTION:Draining taken into three inflow shafts 1, 2, 3 from a river and a drainageway is conducted to an underground tailrace 4, and drainage is made so as to be done into rivers and the sea on the surface of the earth by a pump 7 from a pump #6 installed in a part of an underground tailrace, thus an underdrainage system is constituted. In succession, a movable inflow adjusting device 8 is installed in a conduit leading to inflow shafts 1, 2, 3 from rivers and drainageways. Then an amount of inflow to the underground tailrace 4 from respective rivers and drainageways is adjusted, and the inflow to these inflow shafts 1, 2, 3 from rivers and drainageways is separately adjusted according to the water level and inflow of the rivers and the drainageways.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a danger for overflow sewage out of a waterway at the upstream side, by providing a detecting means for water levels of both upstream and downstream sides of a gate set to the waterway, a means which decides the opening/closing direction of the gate, etc. CONSTITUTION:A detecting means detects the water levels at the upstream and downstream sides of a gate set to a waterway. In addition to this detecting means, a means which detects the opening/closing directions of the gate, etc. are provided. For instance, a water level detector 201 detects the level h1 at the upstream side of a gate 203 set to a waterway 1. While, a water level detector 204 detects the level h2 at the downstream side of the waterway 1. Then a gate opening/closing direction deciding circuit 214 compares the level h2 with reference water levels H3 and H4 which should be kept under control of the gate 203 and then delivers a command signal to a gate opening/closing device 202 to control the opening/closing of the gate. A difference arithmetic circuit 212 calculates the difference between levels h1 and h2. This difference value is supplied to a gate opening/closing speed deciding circuit 211 to decide the opening/closing speeds of the gate 203. This decided speed is delivered to the device 202.
