    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video providing system which has a simple and economical constitution and immediately provides a terminal (client) with an arbitrary requested picture in response to a video acquisition request from the terminal with respect to a system which handles pictures, which are photographed by plural video cameras, in plural terminals. SOLUTION: Pictures photographed by video camera systems 10 are accepted by a video information acceptance processing part 21 of a video server 20, and additional information peculiar to the picture is generated by the processing part 21 and is stored in a management storage part (TLB) of a file information server 23 each time when the picture is stored in a picture server 22. An acceptance control part 24 accepts a request from a video terminal 30 as a client and acquires a picture meeting the request from the picture server 22 through the file information server 23 and supplies it to the video terminal 30 of the request source.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a passenger ticket purchaser to confirm the fare to his destination station then and there by displaying a route chart and tariff on demand. CONSTITUTION:A storage means where data indicating the fare from an entrance station to each station is stored, an input means for input of user's display request, and a display means which reads out data from the storage means to display it at the time of input of the display request from the input means are provided. The storage means, the input means, and the display means consist of a storage part 27, a button part 22, and a control part 21 and a display part 23 respectively. When the user does not know the fare from the entrance station to his destination station at the time of purchasing the passenger ticket, he depresses a button indicating a route including the destination station out of buttons of the button part 22 of a route chart and tariff display part 2. The control part 21 receives this input to read out a corresponding route chart and tariff from the storage part 27 and displays it on the display part 23.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle monitoring system capable of preventing an accident by remotely monitoring vehicle abnormality which is not noticed by a driver by efficiently using the existing road facilities. SOLUTION: A vehicle monitoring control part (MCNT) 11 provided to a vehicle monitoring device (SC) 10 specifies a vehicle and its position (traveling area) from intrinsic information that specifies the vehicle, which is included in state detection information (A), grasps and monitors the abnormal vehicle 20 by controlling a monitoring camera 40 to define the applicable area as a monitoring object, displays and outputs the abnormality contents on a display board 50 installed in the area.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement of a wave damping block detection system capable of certainly measuring the positional shift of the wave damping block caused by waves or the like.
SOLUTION: A camera control unit/changeover device 22 first stores the images sent from monitor cameras 11a-11n in an image memory 24 as initial images, subsequently reads the monitor images sent from the monitor cameras 11a-11n at a constant cycle, and successively changes over not only to input them to an image processor 25 but also to read the corresponding initial images from the image memory 24 to input the same to the image processor 25. The image processor 25 performs the comparison of the monitor images with the initial images and the extraction of features, and calculate the moving vectors of markers 3a-3d to judge whether the vectors are ≥ an allowable value or not. If the vectors are ≥ the allowable value, an alarm signal is outputted to a personal computer 26, and the data related to the alarm signal is stored in a recording device 27. Further, the processed image is preserved in a preservation/regeneration device 28.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system in which the probability of occurring troubles simultaneously on a main transmission line and a spare transmission line is low and high safety is ensured. SOLUTION: Under normal state of an optical fiber cable 21, a monitoring video signal picked up by means of a monitoring camera 11 is converted through an electrical-to-optic converter 14 into an optical signal which is delivered through the optical fiber cable 21 to a monitoring center 30. The monitoring center 30 converts a received optical video signal through an optical-to-electrical converter 31 into an electric signal which is monitored by a monitor terminal 33. When a trouble occurs on the optical fiber cable 21, the monitor terminal 33 detects the abnormality and actuates a dial-up router 36 which is connected with an image server 19 through an ISDN line 23. The image server 19 transmits a monitor video signal encoded by an encoder 18 to the monitoring center 30. The monitoring center 30 receives the monitor video signal from the image server 19 and monitors it at the monitor terminal 33.
