    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pole position detection device which costs lower than an existing pole position detection device, such as a resolver and an encoder, on a motor generator, without the need for changing the structure of a rundel type rotor or for increasing the size of the motor generator, by a large amount. SOLUTION: The pole position detection device of the rundel type rotor is constituted by providing a magnet resin 19, constituting a detected body on the outer periphery of resin for molding a slip ring 10, and a semiconductor device 20 for detecting the pole position, such as Hall element or Hall IC is provided at a corresponding position. Accordingly, the pole position detection device can be provided easily on the motor generator 120 at a low cost, by only adding the magnet resin constituting a body to be detected and the semiconductor device for detecting the pole position 20 at the position, without changing the structure and design dimension of the motor generator 120. SOLUTION: The magnetic pole position of a rotator of a rotary electric machine 100, having winding of the axial direction is detected by the magnetic pole position detector 22. The magnetic pole position detector 22 has a constitution, where the rotator shape is varied in the circumferential direction so that the reluctance of detection is varied, depending on the position of the rotator of the rotary electric machine. One detection wiring is constituted by a plurality of wirings and is arranged so as to cancel the magnetic fluxes between the rotator and a stator caused by the axial winding. When the number of projecting magnetic poles is 10 in the detection wirings 224 and 225, if the winding direction of secondary winding wound on the first to fifth projecting magnetic poles is set positive, the winding direction of secondary winding, wound on sixth to tenth projecting magnetic poles, is set in the reverse direction. SOLUTION: A cam shaft driving shaft 1 is spline-fitted to a fitting hole 7d of a rotor 7 in order to transmit turning force of an engine to the rotor 7, air is sucked from an inlet port 6a by causing capacity change of a space partitioned by a casing 6, the rotor 7, and a vane 8 with rotation of the rotor 7, and vacuum force is applied on a master bag of an automobile and the like. The casing 6 is installed on an engine end surface 2 through a cover 3 by a bolt 10. At the time of its installation, a projection 11 fitted into a fitting hole 7d is integratedly arranged on the closing end surface of the casing 6 for spline- fitting the fitting hole 7d of the rotor 7 and the driving shaft 1 with good efficiency. It is thus possible to restrict the position of the rotor 7 so as to improve installing workability.
