    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hoist having installable dimensions in a hoist shaft and capable of generating enough torque by forming the hoist as a double speed reducer comprising a planetary gear for the low speed stage and a helical gear for the high speed. SOLUTION: In a hoist shaft, an elevator car 1 and a counter weight 8 balancing the car are suspended by wire ropes 2a-2f. A hoist 7 is installed in the lower part of the hoist shaft. In this case, the hoist 7 is constructed as a double speed reducing gear device, with a helical gear for the high speed stage, and a planetary gear for the low speed stage. Thus, the dimensions in the cross direction and in the direction of height are substantially equal to those of one stage speed reducing helical gear device, and a required speed reducing ratio can be obtained. As a motor, a commercial item of a high speed and low torque type can be used, so that the hoist 7 can be constructed at a low cost, and a brake is provided on the shaft of the motor to reduce the size of the brake device.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of using a high speed low torque-type motor even when a hoisting machine is installed on a lower part of a hoistway, and minimizing the hoisting machine. SOLUTION: The wire ropes 2a, 2b are connected to a car 1 at their one ends, the wire rope 2a is wrapped on a traction sheave 5 through the pulleys 3a, 4a, 4b, and the wire rope 2b is wrapped on the traction sheave 5 through a pulley 3b. The wire ropes 2a, 2b are integrated into one set and connected to a counter weight 7 at their other ends through a pulley 6. A motor 8 and a mechanical reduction gear 9 for driving the traction sheave 5 are installed on a lower part of a hoistway. A mechanical reduction gear mechanism formed by a helical gear device is mounted at a high speed stage side, and a mechanical reduction gear mechanism formed by a planatary gear device is mounted at a low speed stage side, inside of the mechanical reduction gear 9.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin type hoist whose motor diameter is small and whose brake is compact, by incorporating a reduction gear into a thin motor and forming them integrally. SOLUTION: A field generating means 1A is formed integrally with the inner periphery surface of a rotor 2, and formed integrally with a cylindrical stator 5 at the outer peripheral surface. A motor is constituted of a field generating means 1B which is made to serve as a pair with the field generating means. A permanent magnet may be fixed on either of the rotor 2 or the stator. The rotor is formed integrally or fitted with/onto a rotor shaft 4, and a brake 5 and a center gear 6 are fitted on a coaxial axis to the rotor shaft. An inner tooth 7 is formed at the inner periphery surface of the stator, and an epicyclic gear device is constituted of a planet gear 8 which engages with both of the inner tooth 7 and the center gear 6, and a carrier 9 which rotatably supports the planet gear 8. It is thus possible to facilitate the control of a thin hoist and decrease the diameter of the motor for formation of a compact brake 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the spring constant fluctuation of a tooth by the working position and to decrease the working vibration.
      SOLUTION: In at least either one of a driving gear and a driven gear, the tooth depth is changed along the tooth trace so that the overall contact ratio becomes substantially an integer. or, the tooth depth is gradually decreased along the tooth trace toward the end of the tooth thereby allowing the tooth tip ridge line of the section where the tooth depth gradually decreases to approximately parallel with the simultaneous contact line, or, the tooth depth is changed along the tooth trace so that the change of the total of the lengths of the simultaneous contact lines accompanying the progress of engagement is minimized, or, the tooth depth is changed along the tooth trace, and the contact ratio is set to be approximately 2 or 3 in a first area where the tooth depth is short, whereas in a second area where the tooth depth is larger the contact ratio is set to be larger than that of the first area and the spring constant of the tooth is approximately equalized to the spring constant of the tooth in the first area.
