    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve usable over a long period, by improving impact resistance and abrasion resistance of a constituting part of the fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: Low temperature nitriding of 350 to 480°C is applied to a nozzle body 4 having a fuel injection hole 41, a valve guide 17, a valve element 5, a moving piece 6 and a stopper 16. A guide sleeve 14 moving and guiding the moving piece 6 is pressed in the tip inner periphery of a fixed iron core 3, and a hard coating film is applied to the guide sleeve 14 by a highly hard nonmagnetic member. An annular chip-shaped valve guide 17 and a guide presser 18 are superposably arranged in the nozzle body 4. The guide presser 18 is formed of a metallic material of non-nitriding, and the valve guide 17 is fixed by the valve presser 18 by tensionally joining this guide presser 18 to the inner periphery of the nozzle body 4 by being plastically deformed by pressurizing force from above in the nozzle body 4.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make keepable coaxiality after connection of parts, without influence of single part accuracy of nozzle parts in a fuel injection valve.
      SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is constituted in such a manner that: a plate is fit to a swirler of the nozzle so as to sandwich the swirler therebetween; centering of a seat part and an inner diameter part of the swirler of the nozzle is performed by using a positioning pin; plastic flow of the plate is partially performed; and nozzle, swirler, and plate are connected and fixed to each other. The swirler, in which high coaxiality with an orifice of the nozzle is required, is sandwiched and fixed between the plate and nozzle. Since spring back does not act after the fixing, the high coaxiality of the orifice and swirler of the nozzle can be kept.

SOLUTION: In the case where a fuel injection valve is manufactured, firstly, a seat 1b is pressed in along a cylindrical part 13a of a nozzle raw material 13, and is transferred and molded by a mold punch 14. In this time, a dice 15 is put on a lower surface 13b of the nozzle raw material 13. Then, a plastic fluid protrusion part 13c pushed out to a bottom lower surface of the nozzle raw material 13 is mechanically worked and eliminated. An orifice is worked by a punch 17 serving the seat part 1b as a guide of a punch guide 16. After that, the nozzle raw material 13 is hardened, and the cylindrical part 13a and the seat 1b are simultaneously worked by a grinding wheel having an angle θ' larger than a holding angle θ of the seat 1b. It is thus possible to improve a work accuracy without reducing productivity by plastic work.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel injection valve without fuel leakage, having a good injection characteristic, having its heat processing time shortened and the number of its components reduced by increasing stiffness of a peripheral part of a connection groove of a nozzle and plastically connecting the nozzle with a housing.
      SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is a fuel injection valve for cylinder injection of fuel having a slender nozzle (long nozzle). The fuel injection valve 1 is composed of a combination of cylindrical components and a stator side magnetic circuit is formed by the housing 2 made of magnetic material, a yoke 3, and a core 4. A movable valve 5 covered with the magnetic circuit is axially moved by energizing an electromagnetic solenoid coil 17, and the edge part of the movable valve 5 is covered with the nozzle 6 connected to the housing 2. The nozzle 6 is inserted to a stepped inner diameter surface of the housing 2 through a ring 18. At a connection part 7, the inner periphery edge part of the housing 2 is locally pressed for plastically deforming the housing 2, and material is made to plastically flow in the annular connection groove 8 provided at the outer periphery of the nozzle 6 for connecting. The connection groove could be a rough surface if necessary. This invention is characterized by the difference in stiffness between a plastic deformation pressure receiving surface of the periphery of the nozzle connection groove and that of the housing to secure a sealing performance of the connection part. It is also characterized by making the stiffness of the nozzle higher than that of the housing.
