摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch capable of performing highly reliable switching with a small driving force by providing a projection on the substrate side surface of a moving flat optical waveguide. SOLUTION: A separation layer 2 located below cantilever beams 6 and 7 and a connecting member 8 is eliminated by etching, and the surface of substrate 1 is exposed around the cantilever beams 6 and 7 and the connecting member 8. A recess 24 is formed on the full surface of the separation layer 2. In the lower surface of the cantilever beams 6 and 7 and the connecting member 8, a projection is formed in a position corresponding to the recess 24. Friction forces between the cantilever beams 6 and 7 and the connecting member and the substrate are reduced, and adhesion is also suppressed. Thus, even if forces generated by electromagnetic actuators 11a and 11b are small, opticalswitching is performed. Further, since there is no difference in the friction reducing effect even if a gap between the projection formed in the lower surface of the cantilever beams 6 and 7 and the connecting member 8 and the substrate is small, sure optical-switching is performed while changes in the attitudes of the cantilever beams 6 and 7 and the connecting member 8 are maintained small.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-cost optical waveguide type switch with small insertion loss by forming a separation layer on a quartz glass substrate and forming cantilevers, an optical waveguide on them, optical waveguides, and a switch driving means which deforms the cantilevers on the separation layer. SOLUTION: On the quartz glass substrate 15, a quartz glass waveguide layer 13 and a movable-side optical waveguide 2 are formed on the cantilevers 3a and 3b across the separation layer 14. A coupling member 4 is formed on the free-end side of the cantilevers 3a and 3b, internal yokes 12a to 12d of soft magnetic bodies are formed opposite the coupling member 4 on the quartz glass waveguide layer 13 having a soft magnetic body film 5 is formed on its top surface, and on them, a driving part consisting of coils 6a and 6b, external yokes 7a and 7b of soft magnetic bodies, and a permanent magnet 8 is formed. Further, fixed-side optical waveguides 10 are formed on the free-end side of the movable-side optical waveguide 2 so that they face the free-end side according to the movement quantity of the waveguide.

SOLUTION: This transducer supporting mechanism consists of the head of a magnetic disk device and a suspension 1 consisting of Si. The slope 7 is formed on the Si suspension 1 by wet etching utilizing the crystal anisotropy and signal lines 6 are formed by sputtering or vapor deposition, etc., using a shadow mask on the slope 7. As a result, the execution of the electrical connection of the Si suspension 1 and the transducer 3 by batch working is made possible. 摘要： PURPOSE: To open a facsimile equipment in various ways with excellent operability and reliability by forming the facsimile equipment with an upper structure and a lower structure open/closed around a fulcrum at the rear part of the equipment. CONSTITUTION: The facsimile equipment is made up of an upper structure 1 and a lower structure 2 open/closed around a fulcrum 5 at the rear part of the equipment. A thermal head 3 is supported by the upper structure 1 and a recording medium carrying roller, a read sensor unit section 4 and an original carrying roller are supported by the lower structure 2 and a read unit using plural photoelectric conversion elements via a reduction optical system is employed for the read sensor unit section 4. Through the configuration as above where the entire equipment is divided into two structures as the upper structure and the lower structure in this way, then when the equipment is open, the pressing pressure on rollers of paper carrying paths of the recording system and the read system is released to attain replacement of recording paper and solution to paper jamming. Since the carrier rollers of the paper are arranged to be a minimum number of two, then the reliability is improved and the cost is reduced.

The side plate 4 is formed with a notch 4b so that the roller 1 can be fixed to the side plate 4 after fixing the side plate 4 to a bottom plate 5. Namely, after the bearing 6 is fitted into the roller 1, the roller 1 is inserted into the side plate 4 through the notch 4b. On the other hand, a gear 70 is fixed to the roller 1, and the gear 70 is rotated by the driving force of a motor 8 transmitted through each gear 71, 72, 73, 79 forming a driving force transmitting unit.

Thereby, transmission, reception and copy can be executed only by the motor 1 of a driving source and furthermore, plural originals can continuously be transmitted and copied by the automatic feeding function.
