SOLUTION: At least two color separating means are arranged on an optical path between a lamp 9 and a light valve means 13, and light of a wavelength band from 480nm to 540nm is eliminated from the optical path by spectral characteristics of the separating means. Further, respective lenses and respective mirrors on the way from the illuminating system to a light valve element are constituted so as to transmit ≥ about 95% of light of the wavelength band from nearly 400 to 430nm, and light of the wavelength band from nearly 680 to 700nm.

The cleaning stand 1a and the cap stand 6a are revolved to perform wiping and capping.
