    • PURPOSE:To provide balanced surface temperature distribution, to improve the measuring accuracy and to prevent the aging change of resistance value of a heating resistor by increasing the film thickness at the center of a support so as to be thicker than a film near the end of the support. CONSTITUTION:An alumina pipe 1 is a support for holding leads 2 formed out of an insulator such as zirconia, etc., and a resistor. Glass adhesive 3 fixes the leads 2. The surface of a thin film resistor 4 formed on the surface of the pipe 1 is spirally trimmed 14 to be formed. Further, an overcoating glass 5 covering the entire surface of the resistor is provided. Particularly, in order to vary thicknesses of thin films near the ends and the center of the pipe 1, a thin film resistor 10 of a first layer is formed on the entire surface of the pipe 1. Since the thickness near the center is increased thereby to bury holes on the surface of the support 1 dispersed in a crater state, a temperature distribution balance of a heating resistor can be equilibrated.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the radio wave interference resistance of an air flow rate measuring instrument against radio wave noise by providing a groove in the base and sticking the outer peripheral part of a shield case to the base after burying the case in the groove. CONSTITUTION:A circuit board 1 which is the drive circuit of an intake air flow rate measuring device for an internal combustion engine is protected from external radio waves by a shield case 2 and a shield cover 3. A base 4 has a groove in which the case 2 can be buried and the case 2 is stuck to the base 4 with a bonding agent 5 after the case 2 is buried in the groove. Since this structure is constituted so that the entire lower surface of the case 2 can come into contact with the base 4, a large grounding area can be secured between the case 2 and the base 4 and the effect of leading the external radio waves to the base 4 is improved. Therefore, the radio wave interference resistance of the air flow rate measuring instrument can be remarkably improved, because the grounding effect of the external radio waves in a high frequency domain is specially improved.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a measuring apparatus by which a pressure loss is reduced and whose measuring accuracy is enhanced by a method wherein the transverse width of a support part as the coupling part of a body to a subpassage is made smaller than the transverse width of a part constituting an entrance face in the subpassage. CONSTITUTION: The intake air 9 is supplied to an engine through a main passage 2 and a subpassage 3 which are constituted inside a body 1. A heat-generating resistor 4 and a temperature-sensing resistor 5 which are installed inside the passage 3 are connected electrically to support pins 6 inside a holder part 7, and they are connected to a drive circuit 10 via lead wires 8. On the basis of output signals of the resistors 4, 5, the circuit 10 outputs a signal related to an air flow rate. A member 17 which constitutes the passage 3 is mounted on a module part 18 on which the circuit 10 is installed, and the module part 18 is inserted from a hole in the body 1 so as to be installed at the outer wall part of the body 1. At this time, the transverse width of the holder part 7 is constituted to be smaller than the transverse width of a member constituting an entrance part in the passage 3, and a pressure loss is reduced. In addition, since the quantity of a member covering the support pins 6 is reduced, a wall temperature characteristic is enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the measuring accuracy of air flow, by providing a humidity detecting device in an air passage or in an air cleaner, detecting the humidity of the flowing-in air so as to decide the correcting amount, and correcting the output signal of an air flow rate measuring device. CONSTITUTION:In the same air passage, a hygrometer, a heating resistor, and a heat sensitive resistor are provided, a heating resistor signal 5, a heat sensitive resistor signal 6, and humidity detecting device signal 7 are taken in to a CPU, and the air flow rate found from the heating resistor signal 5 and the heat sensitive resistor signal 6 lay applying an operation process is corrected by the humidity detecting device signal 7, and it is output as an output signal 4 after the humidity correction. Consequently, by adding the humidity which is an important parameter of the air together with the air pressure and the temperature, the measuring accuracy of the air flow rate, especially the measuring accuracy at the variation of the ambiance, can be improved.
